The room we were in this time was too near the back street which was noisy with bins being emptied during the night.

The location is right in the centre of town. Nice big bright restaurant and bar. We ate dinner and breakfast there and both were delicious.

Can't really say there was anything all the staff were very nice and helpful they went out there way to make our stay as pleasant as they could. I will definitely return.

I liked the warm welcome my granddaughter and I got from the staff as soon as we arrived the manager went over everything about our stay the carried my bag up 3 flights of stairs to our room only downside the hotel has no lift.

Not really anything not to like. The rooms were very hot but it has been exceptional weather. A fan was also provided so they did all they could.

we booked two twin beds but got a double, noise of someone discarding glass right outside our room all day long even starting at 05:30 and lasting until almost midnight, no elevators

The room was dark and hot. Summer heatwave with a doona on the bed! Had to strip off the bottom sheet, sleep on the doona with the sheet on top. The only double glazed window was at ground level and had only a blockout curtain for privacy from the street. To cool the room down meant leaving the window open to the street behind and deliveries etc. lots of stairs with luggage

Location. Food in the bar downstairs was fabulous. Ate there every night. Kirsten looked after us so nicely.

Friendly welcome from the front of house team who couldn't do enough for us, from storing our luggage to fetching extra tea bags. The room was spotless and comfortable. The included breakfast was excellent. Location was perfect for our needs.

It was rather hot this week in Edinburgh (80+ degrees Fahrenheit) and the room did not have air conditioning. There was a nice Dyson fan that helped but it was still pretty toasty. The room was also on an alley so we couldn’t leave the window open really as people were constantly passing by and heading to the pubs. I could imagine that it can get quite loud out there but fortunately we weren’t kept awake. :)

Location was great for us. The room was a good size. It was very clean. The space was charming as it’s above a restaurant and bar. The breakfast was delicious!

Room cleanliness. We had small blood splatters on the wall of our room. I noticed them as soon as we arrived and they were still there after our 2 night stay so cleaners missed it twice The bed was as comfy but the pillows were lumpy and uncomfortable The noise of the bottle/ glass bin getting emptied first thing on both mornings wasn’t pleasant either The card holder for room power was also broke (held together with sellotape which kept coming off)

Our room was at the end stage and had no air conditioning :(. It was our last and one hot day in Scottland and it was very hot in the room, especially at night. There was a small air cleaner in the room but it wasn't helpful. It was to hot anyway.

The stuff was great and very helpful. The pub in the hotel was great as well and the meal was very tasty. The location was fantastic, close to the Edinburgh castle and the Old Town. The bed was comfortable and the room had a fridge. We didn't buy a breakfast because we had a flight early morning.

We requested a room with an additional bed for a 3 year old - a pack and play was provided which wasnt useful. Rooms were not close together as requested and were very hot. Hotel is located in an area that is very loud, drunk people singing and dogs barking all night

Room was well appointed and included extra spoils. The packaged breakfast for us prepared very early was very appreciated. Location was a little difficult to find but convenient once located. Parking was outlined in booking instructions but links didnt work and hotel only replied several days later, after we had checked out

Room lacked light. Could have done with a ceiling light at the dressing table, difficult to see when doing hair etc. bedside table wasn’t working but reported and hopefully sorted for next resident.

Good location, bar and restaurant downstairs, modern decor, extremely comfy beds, powerful shower, fluffy towels, and bathrobes supplied.
