Only thing I didn’t like were the pillows were too hard but that’s my personal opinion.

Friendly atmosphere, staff are all very welcoming and helpful. Property was easy to find and was right next to the lake.

Queuing system for breakfast rather difficult at times, guests needing to stand in doorway making difficult to get past when holding plate of food.

The water in the room never got really warm/ hot which made showers less pleasant and very quick! Couldn't fine the tv remote in room, only a minor issue as we wasn't in the room much.

Location was fantastic, right on the water and only a 10 min walk to Ambleside. Breakfast was nice and plenty of choice.

The TV channels were not working apart from 3 which were news channels only. Not enough staff on at the bar. Very long queues each time for food or drinks.

There were a couple of issues with the room. I initially requested a twin room which was confirmed by the hotel but on check-in we were given room number 65, which was a double room so we had to wait for that to be altered. There was no safety deposit box in the room as stated on the booking form, the hotel supplied us with one eventually but it was just placed on the floor and was not fixed or secured in any way, which rendered it pretty useless. The patio doors would not open or close properly either, which certainly wasn't ideal and made us feel a little insecure, especially regarding leaving any valuables in the room..I complained about these issues to management at the time and they apologised for the inconvenience but explained that they couldn't change our room because the hotel was fully booked.

The location was perfect, the hotel and room was clean and basically comfortable. The breakfast was nice with a good variety of food on offer.

The breakfast buffet was basic and not very appetising, it could be set up in a better way. Lots of waiting around and when busy it was difficult to get through. The staff did not clean tables so there was a lot of dirty crockery around which was not very pleasant. For the price of the room with breakfast this was not good value for money. There was no oat milk and no vegetarian sausages. The other thing was checking in, when we arrived all staff very busy at the bar and it took a while for the to check us in.

The location was great as the Inn is right by the lake, with direct access to the water. The pub garden was great with lots of seating outside. The room was basic but clean with small bathroom, but good shower.

We got the most beautiful attic room. Perfect location tight by the river. Friendly staff. Excellent clean rooms with comfortable beds and clean towels.

Would like fans in room as no air con and on ground floor so could not keep window open.

Fabulous location, by waters edge. Liked the option of having free drinks on first night instead of room cleaned next day as had barely used room.
