Great location and staff were very helpful during my stay. Room was small, but comfortable and breakfast was good. Location for my planned visit worked out very well and close to the event I was attending.

The bathroom skirting boards were a bit grotty and there were slug trails near the table were we got breakfast, otherwise it appeared clean enough. The walls were very thin and you can hear every conversation and floor board creek from adjacent rooms

The breakfast and evening meal was pretty good, had a good bar and a decent quality pool table. Also has a nice outdoor seating area

The skylight window in my bedroom didn't open so was a bit warm but there was a fan in the room to help still slept ok

One suggestion which would be lovely if at all possible would be a small fridge so occupants could have fresh milk for the beverages supplied, rather than long life milk. As with Global Warming the summer weather is likely to be very hot, visitors could also keep cold drinks at a pleasant temperature.

The room was ready for us when we arrived, although we were about half an hour early. As we have stayed there several times previously the owner recognised us and greeted us in a very friendly way.

My main concern was the shower, which was a bit old and untidy, and more importantly the showerhead that did not work properly

The owner, staff, and the dog were friendly, the interior (and exterior) were lovely, the location was very convenient, the breakfast and the bar were good.

Unfortunatly it was the hottest 2 nights of the year but a fan had been supplied......... The black out blind had been left closed but. Not sure if leaving the velux window open all day was best way of keeping room cool.....in this type of weather

Good pub food and atmosphere

There were very steep steps to the room. For an active 80 year old it was too much. Right by train station which was not a problem and very handy for Oxford. It so hot so had to had windows open no problem with train noise but road noise seemed worse

The water pressure in the shower on the 2nd floor was too low, and sometimes I had to wait a couple of minutes for any water to come out of the shower.

Little cosy Inn, not fancy but had all I needed for a two-night stay. Next to the train station, so easy to get to Didcot. The train noise was NOT disturbing. Breakfast was good as well as dinner.

Everything was a bit dated. The drinking glass on the tray was dirty and the free toiletries weren't full. The kettle had some water left in it and was quite heavily lime-scaled to the point bits came out when i emptied the water, so I didn't use it.

The bedroom was very clean, the bed was comfy and although so close to the trainline I slept well. The team there were really kind and helpful, the room was well equipped, plug by the bed and instant tea and coffee available. Breakfast was good and served very quickly.

WIFI was flaky, especially in the morning before breakfast.

Rooms were compact but clean and comfortable. Excellent breakfast and well priced for the area. Easy to park. And it's a pub, so wide range of drinks and food to be had.

The food was of restaurant quality at good prices. The staff are friendly and attentive. The room and bar area has a homely feel to it with the garden. Comfort of the double rooms was great, softest mattress I've slept in. Good travel links via the main road or trains to explore the area.
