How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.

Booked a runway view and ended up looking at a portakabin and parked cars - asked to move...moved to another room where there was no tv remote (resolved by maintenance who then found rhe next problem with the tv being switched off from power box..and it was frozen), the tv didn't work again after it was turned off, there was smears on the table, hairs on the bath tiles...really disappointed as it did not meet the usual standards of Radisson at all.

The towels had lost their color, the rooms were cramped with unnecessary furniture, and everything looked outdated and worn. Breakfast was completely disorganized – cups and plates were either missing or scattered in random places, no glasses were available, and the coffee machines were dirty. The hotel now feels like it’s being run in a developing country, certainly not what you would expect from a hotel located next to one of London’s major airports. Very disappointing.

Rooms had a bad smell from the carpets, were very dated and didn’t represent good value. One small bottle of water between 2 isn’t right either and didn’t go down well.

Room needed some refurbishment, you could tell quick fixes has been made. There was a mini fridge but didn't have anything in, was turned off and smelled....

The hairdryer did not work properly, I could not contact reception, no one was answering the main telephone number either. I had planned my time perfectly for my flight so I did not have time to go down to reception and find staff (especially with my hair wet). I left in a panic with wet hair (I have extensions that should not be left wet or they ruin). Because I left in a rush, I left my gold earrings there. I tried calling everyday of my holiday to ask them to put my earrings somewhere safe, no body answered the phone. My hair was a mess the whole holiday and I had to have my extensions redone when I returned, I paid for plaits to be put in to cover this up, considering what I had paid for them, this was not how I wanted my hair on holiday. When I returned, I still could not get an answer from them, I called another number which was supposed to be customer services for them to tell me to call them number that doesn't answer. I then emailed them, still no answer!! I have had no response about any of this and have no idea where to go next with it.

Verified reviewThe staff were friendly throughout the hotel. I can complain there. And the location to the airport is obviously excellent. But that’s where it stops unfortunately.
When we first checked in we made our way to our room and as we opened the door, the stench of BO was overwhelming. We didn’t even spend 20 seconds in the room. So we made our way back down to reception and to the front desk credit they didn’t even question. They swapped our room. But no apology and for a four star hotel at £138 a night. That’s really not good enough. We made our way to the next room and I have to say the cleanliness of the hotels public areas was poor. Carpets were untidy. Walked into the new room and it wasn’t exactly a pleasant smell. But we thought it better than previous. Towels and sheets had specks of dirt and blood on them. Wardrobe coming apart at the foundations also. A very loud air conditioning woke us up at 1:30am and we couldn’t turn it off. Went for dinner and the service was very attentive. But I ordered the fish and chips and for £22 I think it’s cheek the size of the fish. Very poor. In the bar our drinks were served to us in warm glasses. I’m not one to complain. But I have to say I’ve never been to a hotel where it has been so consistently poor across many areas. I think it’s a cheek charging what you do for this property.
