The only problematic bit is the noise from the road but I doubt there is anything that can be done to effectively rectify it - otherwise the owner would already do it (based on the rest of my experience). Not critical.

What amazed me was how everything is "thought-through" in this place. Every small element makes total sense. At the same time it's relatively minimalistic and "clean" design. Also, the whole place is exceptionally clean. My compliments.

The host was frendly and the house cleaness was exceptional. There was milk, butter, salt extra helpful.

My stay @ The Barn was peaceful and relaxing with nothing nir no one to bother you. Communication between myself and host was always quite emediot. Oh and how gorgeous and comfortable the barn was. And very easy to use.

That i couldn't book more time due to work!

Firstly, It's the little things I need that made my day. Ciggi lighter, breakfast cereals, milk, snacks, coffee pods, usb-c charging port, iron, fan, 15kg washing drum, shampoo, conditioner, lots of towels, bathrobes, huge parking space. When a man needs it he needs it and this place has it. You also have a petrol garage and Sainsbury's just down the road. The sauna is big for a private one. I have been in smaller ones in hotels so it's an absolute pleasure. After a long walk in virgina waters lake we unwinded in our own private sauna. Can't beat it that especially when paired with a cold shower after! (Love that shower!) Went to thai terrace rooftop bar in evening. On a quiet weekday they brought a full course meal within 10 minutes. They have 5 chefs on the go! For Lunch we got a pizza in the oven [needed something quick and easy as was working]. Hut outside next to the barn with two seats for my cigarette and coffee breaks. The sensor light another great touch! [Can toggle auto/on/off]. Everything just felt convenient. Host 10/10 and the place is immaculate.

I just wanted to send a huge thank you to Trissie for such a beautiful stay at The Barn. Everything was absolutely perfect, from the cozy atmosphere to the private sauna—it made our time here feel so special and intimate. It was exactly the peaceful retreat we needed, and we truly appreciated all the thoughtful touches that made it feel so warm and welcoming. Cleanliness, luxury feel. The sauna was an amazing feature. The host, Trissie was lovely, so accommodating and we loved the little touches we found in the property (croissants, chocolates on the bed, towel displays) we felt so looked after!

I can't get over how wonderful this stay was. Me and my best friend planned a little mid-week getaway to catch up and Trissies barn was the ultimate spot for us. Trissie is so responsive, helpful and an amazing designer, the barn she's created is so tranquil and beautiful. As soon as you walk in, everything is so modern, with a spa feel - absolutely spotless, you could literally eat your dinner on the floor! The towels are so fresh and smell incredible. There were little baked croissants, snacks, cereal and some little things like butter, milk and coffee ready for us, not to mention the incredible towel display on our bed with 2 little chocolates perched up. Last but certainly not least, the sauna is located INSIDE the barn, I've never had the luxury of having that before and I can't tell you how amazing it was. Trissie is wonderful at hosting, we honestly had the most perfect girly evening. Don't think about booking, just do it - you won't regret it. Thank you so much Trissie for everything, it's an amazing place.

There was nothing we didn’t like, although the road was noisy until late evening. We couldn’t hear it over the TV or music though.

Loved the decor and quality. Great to use the sauna at the end of the day. The host was friendly and helpful and even brought two lovely gin glasses when we said we had brought some gin with us. Good to have somewhere to sit outside in the evening sunshine. Breakfast items were a lovely bonus as was the EV charging point.

The host was so lovely and told us everything we needed to know. It was so cleanly and there were so many useful things such as a washer and dryer, the sauna was incredible, and there were also the white gowns. Overall this place was amazing from start to finish, every detail was excellent including the towel swans. Would 100% recommend.

Can we a little noise as on the road but don't let it out you off as the place is gorgeous. Modern and like a home from home. Bed was so comfortable.

Put simply the property location is at most a metre from a major road carrying heavy to steady traffic 24hours a day. Cars created a steady noise, while anything larger made the building shake. We did not sleep for two nights and had to vacate four days before our departure date.

We were attracted to the property as it presented very well in the booking.com site and appeared to meet our requirements for the week.

The old out building has been refurbished and on the surface looks beautiful, clean and modern. The host allowed us to drop off our car early which was appreciated. However its the worst night's sleep we've ever had. Due to the age of the building and it's location (right on the side of a very busy road) sound proofing and insulation should have been added, if there is any its doing nothing. The sound of cars hurtling past is so loud, you literally feel like you're standing on the side of the road. When we finally fell asleep due to exhaustion (we conscidered leaving and staying in a premier inn down the road) we were woken around 5am/6am when the trucks started hurtling past. I know the traffic is out of the control of the host, but given the buildings location, much more consideration should have been given to this. If you couldn't have fitted the bedroom upstairs as you would have lost ceiling height due to the extra insulation required, it would have still been lovely with just the space downstairs. Such a shame, it's been decorated lovely but the noise is horrendous. I dont like leaving low reviews and have thought about this for a while, but another request came through.
