Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United KingdomNothing I can say I didn’t like. A few things I think others might appreciate. The mattress to sleep on is longer than usual so a double sheet is useful to cover it. The showers are odd. You have to keep the button pushed in to keep water flowing. This made showering awkward but possible. On the plus side the water is warm. I am not sure if the site keeps emergency stuff like toothpaste etc but the shop on site doesn’t have any. Happy to be corrected if wrong. This was amusing for me but our mini fridge acted like a freezer and froze everything in it. Yogurt, salad and milk!
Booking was easy and quick. Easy to find the site. Good access. Came after 4pm so the instructions to our site was easy to follow. The cabin was clean. There was a kettle and fridge which is great. The whole area is very neat and tidy. Practically everything you need is on site. Showers, toilets, washing machine and dryer. Fully equipped main kitchen area, including chairs and tables, microwave, oven and even an ironing board. There was a notice to clean up after yourself and it worked well. Access to beach is quick by car and a short walk on foot. I enjoyed our breakfast. I had a small English and my son had pancakes. Staff at reception and the restaurant friendly and attentive. Met friendly families and people from all over the globe, which was really appealing. Lovely hearing the bird chatter and the people on site were quiet!

United KingdomIf you want comfort and luxury, stay in a hotel. This is posh camping at an appropriate price. I can say that there was nothing I didn’t like. Perhaps make it clearer that you have to pay extra for bedding at the booking stage but this is a small thing.
The location was excellent. Close enough to amenities yet with a feeling of complete isolation. Short walk to the wonderful coastline. The hut was comfortable and the showers and kitchen were clean and functional. I loved the restaurant, lovely food and reasonably priced. Staff were cheerful and helpful. Communication was excellent too.

United KingdomThe fridge in our room was a micro, but it was great that it was there at all.
Every morning and at dusk, I'd see a roe deer on a hill in the grain field. It's worth coming just for those views. Bumblebee had a nest under our terrace, constantly flying around and buzzing pleasantly ☺️

United KingdomWe thought the bbq areas were open to all and for anyone to use. We didn’t feel it was clear that you had to pay £30 to use them. More shower rooms would be a bonus as there weren’t many in comparison to the number of huts.
Had everything we needed. Great to be able to have breakfast on site. Staff were very accommodating and easy to contact. Spacious huts. Great to have option of electricity in hut at a very cheap price. Great kitchen area for everyone to use.

United KingdomNothing to not like.
We loved the quietness. Comfortable and cosy. Location for Holy Island and Seahouses was perfect. Kitchen facilities were fine with cookers, kettles, toasters, washing machine and dryer available. Plenty of cutlery and crockery available. Toilet and shower block good with plenty of room. Our wigwam/pod was warm with a kettle and small fridge. There's a heater too. Electricity is bought from a machine in the kitchen block and takes £1 coins. We stayed 4 nights and used £2. Running the fridge, heater for 30 mins, kettle a lot and phone chargers.

United KingdomThere were huge parties of people who were loud all day and night, there wasn't any management of that. We also paid 50 pounds to bring two dogs but there was absolutely nothing for dogs in terms of facilities to justify that extra expense, for example there is a nearby beach so a outside tap or shower for rinsing the dogs would be great and somewhere to let the dog off to exercise. We genuinely didn't understand what we were paying for. I liked my stay, but it feels like it's all about making more money; £30 to use the bbq hut, for example, not allowed your own, £12 to have a campfire.. The shop could do with selling the essentials like milk, bread etc, too. There are other wigwam sites that I'd prefer to stay at, but this place was alright for a couple nights.
We liked the location and the wigwams were warm and clean

United KingdomThe kitchen is well equipped with the guest's necessities or what they needed (plates, cups, glasses, cutleries, cooking utensils, electric card (you need it in your wigwam/pod). Kitchen got a tv, washing machine, microwave, oven, cooker and 2 faucet and sink. Unfortunately, we came in a very cold spring time, so kitchen is a very cold place for us. So, we need to wrap up and wear a beanie hat to keep us warm while cooking food, washing our cutleries & pots and while eating our meal. I guess it won't be cold during summer time. We saw they got a heater fan up in the ceiling, hopefully they put a sign where to switch it on or maybe include it in their automatic sensor as well? But we did enjoyed our stay. The location is excellent! Very beautiful place, staff are friendly and they respond quickly when you need help. We definitely be coming back.

United KingdomI had never fancied staying in a wigwam or cabin as I thought they would be uncomfortable, but I was proved wrong on this trip. The cabin was great, they even upgraded us at no extra cost. Th facilities in the cabin were great but I have to say that the communal cooking and cleaning facilities in the place were superb. Cooking was easy. All in all it was a great stay and we would definitely rebook there for our next visit to Berwick.

United KingdomThere could have been a tap with running water closer by the wigwams perhaps. Just a tap per field of wigwams.
The location is great for a weekend out although we didn’t discover a way to get through to the beach anywhere close. The wigwam was simple but clean and once we built up the bed, comfortable. The facilities were good and kept clean throughout the day. Breakfast was very tasty and served with a smile.

United KingdomApart from a kettle and a fridge, there was nothing in the pot. No cups for a cup of tea, no bin, nothing. These were available in the communal kitchen which could have been more equipped. Everything you needed was there, but only one of each so you couldn’t take it with you. (Bottle opener, tin opener etc). Opening times of the reception and the restaurant were a bit inconvenient. (Couldn’t hand in the key before 9am) Electricity needs to be paid separate in form of a card that needed to be topped up in the kitchen
The plots are very spacious and have beautiful views over the sea. The working farm attached doesn’t smell and looks tidy. The information we received from the owners was good about bringing your own bedding. The communal kitchen was spacious and so were the showers. (And warm) in the restaurant they served excellent breakfast. The warden’s were nice. It was very quiet and peaceful. Although it was only 3 degrees in the night, it was nice and warm inside. Easy to find.
