Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United KingdomThe parking spot is a bit tight. The bed was a little uncomfortable. No lock on the bathroom.
The property is very well located for the town centre. The kitchen is well equipped for self catering. The Wi-Fi is good. Very friendly, helpful neighbours.

United KingdomParking is tight, I was fine with my very small car but would have struggled in anything bigger. Nowhere to sit outside in the hot weather. Back room mattress was uncomfortable.
Good location. Clean. Nicely done.

United KingdomThere was an issue with a previous renter having a pet that had left an aroma in the smaller bedroom. Otherwise, I would have marked the house as excellent. Having said that, as soon as I reported this, a housekeeper was there within hours. I can't fault the response to the issue.
Location excellent for Tenterden high street. It has a parking space allbeit very difficult to park in. House is very comfortable with everything you would need. It's well equipped, used washing machine & washing line out back. The conservatory has a proper dining table. Big sofa & chairs, rather low for oldies like me but comfortable enough. Beware front door is self locking & husband did manage to lock himself out!!

United KingdomParking space is ok for smaller cars but bit tight if larger with jobsworth next door neighbour over parking. Settee could do with updating and would feel safer with grab rail for shower.
Lovely light house and excellent location.

United KingdomParking was quite tight. Getting into space not easy. When next door car parked in their side it was tight to get car parked & get out. At least there was parking. Beware front door locks with no keys, so don't just pop out to car without front door keys!! Finding house was nightmare! Maps on booking.com website show it located down station road, off high st, Tenterden. It is not there but past that to a cul de sac which is quite difficult to locate, between a restaurant & estate agent. You have to drive across a pedestrian walkway. This isn't too bad driving in(once found) driving back on to high street a little more problematic! Cant see the pedestrians & they jump out! Usually walking a dog!! Drivers beware!!
Great location. Comfortable modern furnished 2 bedroom house. Clean & once warmed up was very cosy. Didn't use the dining table in conservatory, not quite the weather for it!!.easy walks to restaurants & shops. Everything we needed in terms of kitchen equipment. Lovely big fridge!! Big telly to relax in front of. Liked it so much, have booked again!

United KingdomNothing to dislike.
Mews house on a quiet lane behind the High Street. Within easy walking distance of all the shops and cafes. Tenterden is a lovely location and very close to many interesting places. The property was immaculately clean and very well equipped. The local staff could not have been more helpful when we locked ourselves out the first morning.

United KingdomIt was brilliant.
Liked it all. The location was in a quiet cul-de-sac away from traffic. The High Street was one minute walk away where there was some lovely pubs and restaurants. The railway was about 5 minutes walk away. Private parking a bonus. Place was spotless. Had everything you needed for an excellent stay. Easy access instructions. Couldn't fault the lovely house. Spacious and adequate.
