Would have loved to sit outside on a sunny terrace with a late afternoon drink but the bar area is inside and very dark.

Gorgeous hotel with loads of character. Rooms really spacious and modern and well equipped. Staff absolutely wonderful (Christy in particular).

Exquisite. Recently redecorated with the most Brilliant interior designer who mixed lovely old panelling with modern colours, colour washed ceilings and modern rugs. The decor was a wow. The rook Was lovely. Very dog friendly for our 2 dogs who were treated so well. But it’s all about the hotel. And that and the extensive grounds open to our walks was lovely

It is a really nice hotel. We wish we stayed for a few more days. There is plenty of lounge space nicely decorated. The bedroom we had was spacious with lovely showering facilities (the patio is a plus!); bedding was great. The breakfast was delicious (two courses!) with a few options.

I would have preferred a room with AC because it was quite humid.

Beautiful hotel. Like the deck and the little sunroom area with mirror so I could see to put on my makeup. Bed was good and it was a spacious room.

That the only dining option was fine dining and very expensive. An A la Carte menu would be great.

Amazing setting, lovely walks around the property. Very special hotel! The pub close to property serves great meals, a good option if you don't want to do fine dining at hotel. Reception staff were super friendly and attentive!

Penmaenuchaf is a truly wonderful hotel. Situated on a hill surrounded by forested mountains, its a truly unique location. The grounds are beautiful and the building itself is a perfect blend of the new and old. The rooms are fitted immaculately with incredible views and comfortable bedding. The staff are very welcoming, friendly and attentive. Thanks to Christie and the team for making our stay more than we could have wished for!

There was nothing we did not like about the property

This was a beautiful property that we booked at the last minute. It exceeded any expectations we may have had. The bed was very comfortable as were the linens, etc..

I think that the restaurant, as good as it is, would be better served by lower prices and a more ‘relaxed” options. There are of course a couple of external venues that serve that purpose which you might advertise. Costs preclude enjoying the restaurant every night.

Pretty much everything was good, although I would have a little more flexibility in access to the room as we had our kids join us for lunch and they would have loved to see it.

Fantastic location and wonderful food. Our room was in the attics and beautifully furnished. A walk in the gardens is restorative!

Absolutely everything- from the minute you arrive- the beautiful fragrance everywhere , the warm friendly staff , the perfect interior design throughout and fabulous meals ! Will definitely return and stay longer next time. Hard to find another hotel with such a high standard - all of the small touches make such a difference.
