The shared toilet and bathroom would have been more convenient if they were combined, but instead they were separate. The common toilet uses a sensor light, which makes sense, but it only detects movement in certain spots. This means that while inside the cubicle, the light may go off, and you have to step out to trigger it again.

The lodge is within walking distance from the train station, has welcoming staff, and provides a fan, which is especially useful in the warm weather.

Location is absolutely perfect. Rooms great size. Great plug and usb sockets for charging loads of gear. Beds are comfy all very easy at check in too

Plumbing issues and weak power pressure are nothing compared to the warmth and character of this place :)

"Welcome to Pax Lodge - a place where strangers soon are friends" - this welcome sign isn't just decoration, it's absolutely spot on! This has become my favourite London go-to because of the incredible atmosphere and wonderful connections you make with fellow travelers and volunteers. Great location, feels safe and peaceful ; plus being so close to Hampstead Heath meant I got to see the first London 9pm sunset!!!

My wife and I found everything great including the welcoming team.

I was very impressed by how relaxing and enjoyable this stay for a day was. My wife and I thought the room was perfect as we were able to get one with a shower and toilets as part of the room, which you have to book in advance if there are still some available. Breakfast available for 5 pounds per person was a plus !

Location is superb, beautiful area, easy to travel into central London and easy to explore a gorgeous area in North London.

It was difficult to control the temperature of the shower and hot water came out. I wish l had an electric oven.

A female three- person with a washbasin and nearby supermarket was convenient. Near subway and the bus stop was accessible King’s Cross Station. The dining room was easy to enter from the outside, spacious and pleasant.

The beds were rather firm! And although we had a fan supplied it was very hot and stuffy.( Our stay was early May and the weather was 18c in the daytime.) They do only give you one medium sized towel, so if I stay again I'll remember to take my own.

The staff were so friendly and helpful. There was a large dining/common room space which was equipped with a kettle, microwave and toaster. A fridge to keep food in. They allowed us to use the car park on the morning we checked out which was just £5 for the day. Even though there were no en suite bathrooms, there were plenty of showers and toilets along the corridor and we never had to wait. Also they are separate units so not communal.

The bed wasn’t the most comfortable I have ever slept in but for one night did the job just fine and it wouldn’t put me off rebooking.

Fantastic location with friendly and helpful staff. The room and bathroom were very clean and tidy, and the water, tea and coffee provided were a nice bonus. Included parking was fantastic.

The showers weren't the best. Low pressure in one and either boiling hot or freezing cold in the other
