The room was a little gloomy and had a musky smell. The mattress was very worn and therefore rather uncomfortable. I killed at least 10 moths during our stay, so they are definitely nesting somewhere and should be get rid of. The floor was a little sticky, so I was wearing shoes at all times. The bathrooms are shared, which wasn’t a big problem because we could choose between the bathroom in the basement and the first floor so we almost always found one that was not occupied. But of course it takes away from a feeling of comfort not to have your own bathroom.

The location was great to get into Edinburgh. The town of Haddington is quiet and charming with enough options for food around. For the price we paid, the accommodation was as expected: simple. There is a kitchen where we were able to prepare some food and hot drinks. The bathrooms have hot water and are fairly clean. If I’m not mistaken, someone from staff came in ever day to check on the bathrooms and kitchen and have them a basic clean.

Clean and comfortable right in the middle of town, all you need for an overnight and a kitchen available to use which I hadn't noticed when booking so this a bonus. Nice and quiet too!

The room doesn't have curtains, so when it got light around 4am the light shone in through the blinds. Its a small detail but give a better night's sleep.

For what it is this is very well done. Its a house in the centre of the town where the rooms are rented out individually. With shared bathrooms and kitchen. But everything is kept very clean and the rooms are furnished to a good standard. Also the bathrooms are only shared by two rooms, so not a big issue. Its very central and it was easy enough to get parked nearby.

Some lack of cleanliness in the communal areas but this was probably more down the other guests rather than the owner.

Convenient and centrally located within Haddington Town Centre. Plenty of free parking and food outlets within a short walking distance. Room was good and the bed was comfortable. A shared bathroom and kitchen facilities was fine. A good night's sleep and well within budget.

The shared bathroom was not great, our door was next to it so there was some noise at awkward hours. The location is a bit odd, behind a row of shops with bins in the corner.

It’s small but adequate for its purposes, which was a 1 night stay whilst en route, good value for money.

The shower on the 1st floor was scalding and not possible to adjust. The loo lid on the 1st floor bathroom was coming adrift. The stair carpet was in need of vacuuming. We were originally given the wrong key safe code

Location very convenient near local shops and places to eat. Rooms comfortable. When we eventually got the right key safe code (from a man with a van who was parked nearby) and figured out which of the key safes to use, all was well.

The whole building was shabby but worse the communal kitchen and bathroom were far from spotless! Some folk just dont clean up after themselves! TV streaming in the room was good if you like tele shopping or BBC tv and radio but not much else. Luckily we were out most of the time.

Super location for where we were working. Parking outside of normal business hours was easy. Bed was comfortable and plentyful hot water. Host was very helpful and always available on text. Not expensive by comparison.

The lack of a hand rail on the second floor was a negative as I did stumble going down the spiral stairs but luckily came to no real harm. The velux window in the bathroom could do with a clean to remove cobwebs. The mattress was on the lumpy side. The TV wasn't connected to the internet. Could have done with a door hook to hang clothes.

Location was great.. Facilities were good and having the shared bathroom on the second floor to ourselves was a major plus. The room was warm and reasonably furnished. Decent shower and well equipped communal kitchen downstairs. All in all, great value for a short stay. Lovely town with good facilities for eating and shopping.close by. Long stay car park not too far away.
