I should have rented a car. It's difficult getting to see all the things without one. I stayed plenty busy, but there were some places out of reach by bus.

I loved the staff, location, breakfast, seeing and hearing the waves from my window, the pretty room, and all they provide in it. The connected pub was fun, lively in the evening. I watched the moon and stars rise over the water in the evening. The bed was super comfortable. Even though the hotel was full, I never once heard the other guests. Getting to chat with the staff, they were incredibly helpful to get a taxi or bus, tips on sights to see was a highlight. I would definitely return.

The bar crowd was loud because the windows were open all night. The “king bed” was a small double.

While the bathroom was spacious, the bedroom part of the room was a bit narrow. The price was quite high, but it was the only accommodation available in Islay when we booked it (months in advance).

Perfect location if you're arriving to Islay on the ferry from Kennakraig to Port Ellen - 10min walk from the ferry terminal. The whole place and the room were spacious and comfortable, with a great common area and a bar (apparently managed by the same people) with a lovely selection of drinks and whiskeys and a terrace by the seaside just on the other side of the road. Special shout out to Karolina, our lovely bartender who gave us great conversation and great whisky recommendations!

The bed was a little uncomfortable.

The property is in prime location for anyone visiting Islay. The staff were extremely friendly & went above and beyond helping us with booking taxis, which can be very challenging on the island. The decor is generally nice & the breakfast included in the rate was great.

The bathroom door didn't close properly and I could hear the bar downstairs from my room but it wasn't that big of a problem for me, someone who can't sleep in a noisy environment would not enjoy this.

The staff were super friendly, the room was good, they have a lounge that you can have take out or play board games that is extremely cozy.

No lift so had to carry our heavy suitcases up the stairs, but it was worth it for the view

Very noisy at night with music blaring and lots of people and cars racing around the street.

Very good location but be warned it has a public bar which draws the crowds in until the early hours. There is a lovely lounge to use for eating and watching the world go by.
