It’s just so small and if we had been tall or big would have had trouble fitting into the shower or coping with low ceilings.

So very pretty and furnished to a high standard

Had a wonderful stay at the property. Owners very responsive and clear instructions and so thankful they are dog friendly. Had everything needed for our stay. Great WiFi as husband needed to do a few hours work. Parking is such an advantage and the cottage is a short walk from everything you could ask for in a coastal village.

Yes, the cottage is compact bijou ... but it's a genuine, old property! Which has been immaculately renovated and decorated (with only the odd tasteful nod to the location, rather than tacky seaside-themed memorabilia :)). A few main points ... • The property has everything you could need, including dishwasher, iron/board, kitchen essentials, very comfortable beds, beautiful bed linen and lots of towels. • The cottage was *sparklingly* clean from top to bottom. • There was a super-helpful folder of brief instructions and where-to-finds. • The location simply couldn't be better – a short stroll from the high street and beach yet in a quiet, upmarket street. • It was very easy to park (with the permit provided at the cottage) in the church car park very close by. • The host was always available in case of questions but otherwise left us in peace. We won't hesitate to book this cottage again and will be recommending it to anyone else visiting Aldeburgh.

I feel it should be mentioned about the height of the ceilings upstairs- just so others are aware if over 6 ft. When i stretched up my arm to undress I did hit the ceiling so anyone taller would have to stoop in the bedrooms and the shower

Location as it was easy to walk into Aldeburgh Such a bonus having a parking permit included Everything we needed and warm and cosy

I guess main bed a bit soft for me but we all like different mattresses !

Everything you need in small space. Lovely and warm on a cold weekend ! Like the styling - perfect for a couple and a dog. Really nice extra touches - wine , dog biscuits and bowls etc. Hot powerful shower.

We were lucky to have nice weather & so opened the windows but there was quite a lot of traffic noise due to its location on the junction corner.

Very well presented & nice touch of wine & biscuits on arrival.

Bathroom too small, couldn’t sit on toilet straight on, shower was temperamental and didn’t work on last morning. Ceilings too low for us (hubby is 6ft 1 and head touched ceiling in bedroom and he hit head on door frames multiple times).

Lovely decor, close to beach and town, lovely to have parking

There is no wardrobe in the main bedroom so long garments need to be hung on the clothes rail in the small second bedroom.

Property was well decorated and clean. Kitchen was a good size and well equipped (apart from no kitchen roll or tea-towels!) Location is excellent being a 3-4 minutes walk from the main street in Aldeburgh . Parking is in the local church car park 100 yards away, as there is no parking at the property.

Nothing to not like. This is a home from home. Even parking is taken care of.

The cottage is an ideal place to have some rest and relaxation. Beautifully furnished. We were feeling very much at home, after a day on the beach, with our supper and wine watching the TV. The kitchen is ideal and the shower is really good. The bed is very comfy too.

It’s a small cottage, part of its charm. As you might expect the stairs are quite steep. They wouldn’t suit everyone.

The cottage was well equipped. Well presented. Comfortable. The ability to park so close was a bonus. Very pleased to have found it. Would definitely visit again.

The outside space was shared, but it would have been nice if collectively the area had been upgraded to the same high standards found inside. A minor point, but whilst there were plenty of hooks to hang things, only 3 hangars.

Free parking, easy walk into town, fully equipped, kitchen, original features.and clever use of mirrors to give the illusion of space.

1 Alde Lane is a quaint little cottage located 5 minutes walk from town. Beautifully decorated, comfortable, cosy and very well equipped. The permit provided for parking in the church car park opposite is a real bonus - parking is a top priority for us when searching for accommodation. We would not hesitate to book again and will be recommending to friends & family.
