The Waterhouse accommodation was lovely. The facilities were great. Staff very friendly and knowledgeable about the area. Beautiful walks on the doorstep and would highly recommend a visit to the Heritage centre.

Location absolutely stunning, all staff we dealt with were exceptionally helpful, friendly and polite. We ate in the restaurant on our 2nd night and the food was delicious- best meal I've had in a while! Wonderful short break all round.

The Waterhouses are lovely, but the bedrooms require updating.

The quiet rush of water. The peacefulness and stillness of the area. No rushing around. The history of the buildings and the story of the people who lived and worked in New Lanark.

There was nothing that let our stay down. In fact, we are now looking forward to booking another stay sometime in the near future.

We loved the location and size of our accomodation which was very spacious. looking down onto the river and hearing it late in the evening was very relaxing. All the staff we had interaction with were so helpful and friendly. We ate in the restaurant and bar and found the standard of the food excellent.

Fantastic location, unique buildings, spacious rooms, amazing views of the river. Hotel facilities were great too - used the pool and steam room. Gym looked very well-equipped too.

We used the pool once but didn't realise lessons were on so was half a small pool with residents doing lengths. Difficult to enjoy with kids. Was lovely and warm and staff were nice too. Bad timing perhaps.

The cottage is gorgeous both inside and out, but it did strike me a little odd how modern the cottages were. Not necessarily a bad thing, just felt like a mismatch, the marble effect corner tables/radiator just felt out of place, though obviously didn't affect my stay, I just noticed it. The oven wasn't closing properly, and when we tried to use it, it got a little too smokey so we decided best not and headed to the restaurant in the hotel itself (which was lovely). Still, the oven was a tad problematic. Personally I don't like that the bed had two mattresses put together. The seam is very present, maybe fixed with a topper. Again, a personal thing, not sure others would notice and definitely didn't damper my stay.

We both loved the views, which I feel was the main part of our stay. The bedroom was huge too, which was a great plus. I especially liked the TV size for evening chilling. The overall area was well functional, with a modern bathroom and a well-equipped kitchenette. The drawers and cupboards had all the proper amenities you'd require in your own home, even stacked with tea. Nice touch. The cottage also had recycling facilities which I appreciate immensely. Additionally, the bathroom had this lovely soap, and they leave a little sign to let you know it's available for purchase at the hotel! As somebody who loves a good soap, I feel like it's one of the most memorable parts of a stay, so I enjoyed the option to take it back with me.
