Beautiful location in a historical property with view to the sea and Fife Costal Path within a short walking distance. Shared facilities (Kitchen and lounge) are spacious clean and well maintained. Shared Toilets and showers are modern, clean and also well maintained. The dormitory room is clean, well maintained with a comfortable mattress. Large supermarket ( Morrisons) is within a relatively short walking distance as well as award winning ice cream, fish and chips :)

- The host was so pleasant. - the rooms were clean - the views were amazing - the shared spaces were tidy - perfectly situated - most of all, it was quiet.

What a lovely clean accommodation. We were slightly concerned about booking into a hostel, but we were pleasantly surprised on arrival. The rooms were clean and well maintained, our view was spectacular and the living spaces were kitted with everything one would need. I would highly recommend it to anyone passing through the area.

Super convenient initial access to the hostel using the pin number provided. Darius the hostel manager was on hand to welcome us and provided great service by getting us into our room early. The room was excellent with a fantastic view of the sea.

It’s a bit impersonal because there is no staff present (as far as I can tell). We received all instructions via Email / Message which is ok but also a bit unpredictable when travelling without mobile phone connection…

The location was perfect. We were also able to park our car around the corner and the hotel was very clean and easy to access even though there was no one there (at least we haven’t seen anyone)

Wobbly/flimsy bunk beds which meant every time you climbed the ladder, turned over, the whole bed wobbled. Maybe it was just my bed on the top bunk.

I really loved our stay here. It was really straight forward, zero fuss, immaculate, relaxing, chilled. Stunning views over the harbour. Comfortable bed. Spacious room. Super clean toilet & shower. Beautiful old building. The whole process was easy, instructions were clear from the hostel in my inbox. It was a last minute get away and everything about it suited us to a tee. I would absolutely stay again zero hesitation.

bed are checking if both levels are used: it disturb the night. it would be better with 6 max per room and not 8 personnes. we happened to have 2-3 snory people from 8 … it was a little too packed and warmy - sticky in the morning i can’t see how there is place for 8 if all are with trecking backpack.

location & services are good easy check in through codes sent online 1 day before laundry for 10pounds & fast if there is not too much demand

The mattress and the bed were very uncomfortable and old, and we didn't sleep very well. What a shame, because everything else was very good.

Very central hostel, with many places to eat nearby and the port just a 2-minute walk away. The room was impressive, with beautiful views of the sea and the beach. The building is an old library, and the common areas were very nice. The detail of the binoculars in the room, very curious.

The library is an exceptional building both inside and out with all of the beautiful features remaining. The view from the window is breathtaking. My chum had forgotten her book but found many in the common room - that room was also beautiful.

We had two rooms, each with a double bed. Both rooms were clean and looked over the water. Both rooms had a small sink, which was a really nice touch. We had clean linens and bath towels. The rooms were a good size. There was one other room in our floor. The five people (including us) on the floor shared two shower stalls and one toilet. I didn't venture up to the other floors, but they must have had a similar setup since they didn't seem to be using our facilities. There were also two washrooms on the main floor that were for everyone. This was outside of a large games room. There was a large kitchen with a big harvest table, and we enjoyed talking to the other guests in the morning. The hostel was very quiet. We parked in the public lot just past the hostel, then moved the car to the street right beside the hostel later in the day. We stayed here so that we could attend the Pittenweem art festival. This was very close and walkable (40 mins) via a shoreline path.

Great location, facing the sea. Beautiful spacious kitchen. Great showers. I stayed in the 8 bed dorm room and it was ideal, my bunk was really comfy. Great value option for the East Neuk. Darius, the owner, was friendly & welcoming. Bus stops just outside. An award winning chippy and a local bakery just nearby.

Wonderful place! It's the cleanest hostel I've seen, in a lovely historic building, and the location couldn't be better. The bus stops right outside the door, the sea is across the road, right on the Fife coastal trail and in the heart of scenic Anstruther. The spotless kitchen with its big family-style table was a bonus. I felt right at home - thank you Darius!

Excellent host, sparkly clean, lovely other travellers, gorgeous communal space, excellent cinnamon buns in the free food box. Right next to bus stop on the harbour front. Couldn’t have been better
