A beautiful pub and b&b right in the heart of Goring

There was a nice range of breakfast and all the staff were very accommodating. We had a lovely room over looking the high street and it was beautifully done out. The pub and rooms were very dog friendly with a small park directly opposite.

Great location for walking Thames Path. Superior room is a good size as is the walk in shower. Comfy beds and big fluffy towells. Rooms are made up daily. Fresh milk for tea/coffee is a nice touch. Breakfast is small but good quality and good choice. Good evening pub food available.

Bathroom plumbing could do with an overhaul and curtains had seen better days but were effective at blocking the light. One or two restaurant/bar issues were corrected with good grace so did not detract from an enjoyable stay.

Lovely old inn with welcoming staff and excellent evening restaurant service. The food - fish daily special for supper and our avocado and poached egg breakfasts - was excellent. Bedroom and bed were very comfortable and thoughtfully provisioned with surprisingly good lighting, usb sockets and big towels, and the shared guest fridge on the landing provided fresh milk. Great location for the Thames Path. We intend to return.

No carpark, food disappointing in parts. The house salad was very poor, as were the tempura vegetables. Noisy kitchen fans ran all night. Heavy duvet even in very hot weather. Overall decor and carpeting tired.

    Too warm

Room we had was lovely But there was a chunk of the tile on step missing goin into the bathroom .so had to be careful we didn’t cut our feet . Room windows obviously only open so much for safety but the room was roasting so ideally could do with puttin a fan in there for people Stayin as we were boiling . Think the breakfast was not as good for the price we opted for the room tbh No cereal option before hot breakfast like most hotels have

No IPA available and the worst fish and chips we've ever had! Tasted like the oil they used was old, very small portion of chips (even the waitress agreed). Communication between staff was poor- my husband asked for baked beans instead of peas, a staff member came to check he was OK with home made ones and the meal still arrived with peas. And the bill had a service charge added without our knowledge. We wouldn't eat here again.

Good location near the Thanes path. Quirky room, comfortable but small. Good breakfast

A characterful place in a lovely town

I was warned that there was a party on that evening so the noise was not really a problem. More of a problem was the lack of a shower. There was a huge double ended bath and the shower attachment had been blanked off. Thankfully, there was plenty of hot water to fill it. The drains made a strange gurgling noise when used by an adjoining room. The perspex desk and chair was a strange choice of furniture and there was a loose floorboard by the door. A lovely place but needing some TLC.

A charming old pub in the centre of Goring on Thames, I was welcomed by a very pleasatn young man and shown to my room. It was a small double bedroom at the rear with a large, light bathroom. I had a good evening meal in the lovely old dining room. The breakfast was excellent. The price of the room including breakfast was very reasonable.

We booked with Booking.com which entitled us to a free room upgrade - which we didn’t get! Stuck in a room right at the top of the building with steep narrow stairs and a tiny bathroom and a very uncomfortable bed.

Lovely old pub in the middle of a picturesque village.

The bay window was in very poor condition, very drafty, let a lot of road noise let in , because there were so many gaps in the frame. The toilet and shower are so small and no door , could do with some air fresheners in the room .

Really nice location, lovely old building and a great pub.

Good quiet location, very close to The Thames for access to walks, trains & local buses. Plenty of parking in the road opposite. We did have an issue with the lack of hot water the first night, but quickly sorted the next day. Breakfast was good, pleasant dining area.
