We had a fantastic stay here! It is a beautiful house, which is spotlessly clean. It definitely has the wow factor when you walk in! Each room is beautifully presented and equipped with everything you could need to make your stay comfortable. The welcome bottle of prosecco was a lovely touch and the beds were so comfy. We had 3 generations of family staying and there was plenty of room for everyone to come together but, also to have their own space as well. This is definitely somewhere we would return to and highly recommend for a stay on Bute.

Only one thing I would say is it could be doing with a a bigger oven and separate microwave as the AGA oven takes ages to cook But cannot fault this place it’s unreal

I loved everything but would have loved a vase to put flowers in. Rothesay has beautiful flowers and the local Co-op had some extra nice varieties.

The wifi worked very well and this was necessary for our remote work. The hosts are very responsive and wonderful to work with. The view and the house are outstanding. I love this house and would like to go back.

The house was very cold when we checked in (5C temperature outside, about 12C in the house), and it took a very long time to warm up.

Beautiful location, very large and comfortable house. All fixtures and appliances were top quality, and were ideal for our three night stay in February. More than enough room for four adults, three children staying.

The aga boiler / heater is a pain to get right and there are only 2 bathrooms, a 3rd WC would be a benefit for 8 people but simply loved it.

We had a minor issue getting the heat on (mid-August you would not normally expect to need the heat on!) We phoned our contact and they sent someone over almost immediately and the issue was resolved in minutes. Totally satisfied with the response. The kitchen tap is supposed to dispense instant hot water, it did not. But we managed ok without it. A larger frying pan would be very useful, but the kitchen was otherwise very well stocked. Having said that, there was nothing that we did not like.

This property was exceptional. Very spacious and comfortable rooms with beautiful decor. Extremely clean. Excellent location with gorgeous views of the water out the living room and two bedroom windows (nice views out the other bedrooms too.) We loved watching the boats go by! Plenty of space for large families or groups as multiple bedrooms and sitting rooms. Lovely outdoor spaces with multiple doors to access the garden areas. Really nice big kitchen. Shower pressure was fabulous and plenty of hot water. Beds were very comfortable, we slept very well. Host was always very responsive. Lots to see and do on the island.

Cream carpets are gorgeous and mean you should take slippers although they provide spa slippers which is great.

Absolutely Nothing

Just back from a 3 night break with 3 other couples Who were fortunate enough to get 2 days of great weather. An absolutely stunning house from top to bottom. The whole place was immaculate and the decor Was fabulous. Comfy beds - Great Dining room and From the front entrance a view to die for. I honestly Could not find a fault with this incredible luxury Designer house and would highly recommend it.
