The location was ideal. The staff were lovely chatty and helpful...they couldn't do enough for us. The pillows were so comfy and the full English was beautiful. Fantastic over night stay.

Bed a bit soft for my liking, stairs to the second floor.

Staff very friendly; breakfast very good with lots of choice. Great location for the Pier and for exploring the lake & restaurants and bars in the town.

The only issue was the placement of the shelf above the wash basin — it would be more practical if positioned to the side. With the limited space, it was quite difficult to use comfortably. That said, it was manageable for a short stay.

A nice, clean, and cosy room with a very comfortable bed and convenient access. The designated parking was a great bonus, especially since street parking can be difficult to find during peak season. The host was friendly, welcoming, and attentive throughout the stay.

Nothing everything was perfect.

The Melbourne Guest House is tucked away from the main road on a nice quiet side street. It had its own parking places which is a big bonus. It is a very pretty building, the decor was tasteful and modern, the entrance and dinning rooms were spotless. Our bedroom was very clean, warm and inviting, the bed and pillows were very very comfortable and everything you would need was available from toiletries towels hairdryer and tea and coffee. Our hosts Russell and Julie were very friendly and helpful, breakfast was a very nice experience everything you wanted was available and all good quality 😋. The next time we visit the Lakes we will try to book the Melbourne again, we highly recommend it with every thing only a short walk away, thank you guy for making our stay perfect.

Everything! Absolutely amazing guest house.. spotlessly clean . breakfast was amazing lots of choice ..Julie did a fantastic job of all the cooking ..Julie and Russ are brilliant hosts..room lovely and a very comfortable bed ..lots of extras in the room ..we will definitely be coming back to stay here again very soon !

There was nothing we didn’t like, the only thing i would point is the shower pressure wasn’t great. Other than that everything else was perfect.

Great location to all the amenities and the lake, the private parking space was great and the owner was very friendly. It was very warm and a fan was provided which was a great touch.

My husband found the location a little difficult at first, as the Guest House is up a little bit of a hill, but not a problem really.

The breakfasts were excellent. Room clean and comfortable. Staff very friendly and most helpful.

Lovely B&B in top quality location. Ensuite room was good. Breakfast really nicely done. A short walk to get to Windermere (lake) in Bowness. Bowness has loads of restaurants and cafes - this does mean paying high tourist spot prices though.
