The establishment was on a busy road.

Spotlessly clean. The breakfasts were absolutely amazing and they catered for both vegan and gluten intolerance. The linen was great and all facilities were clean and new. The hosts were friendly and always available. I recommend that anyone that stays there goes to the Windmill Inn only 100m down the road for a meal. Lovely garden and next to a petrol station and shop if you need to buy any basics.

Unfortunately, being close to the main road made it a little noisy, but other than that we were happy with the premises.

free Parking is available at the premises but tight spaces and on first come basis, we had a big vehicle. But everyone manages to get parked. If you're tall be careful as my husband bumped his head a few times also in the shower. I am short so I had no problem.

It was near to drive to Bowness on Windermere but in a good quiet location away from the business of the town centre which we liked. We had a loft room and was spacious with one double bed and two singles.

Not the cheapest, but reasonable for peak season. Only minor problem - bedroom overlooking main road so some traffic noise ( owners obviously aware of this and provided ear plugs in room!!).

Excellent "home from home" atmosphere. Clean and comfortable room, staff friendly, polite and helpful, breakfast great. Would certainly recommend

This is our holiday home in the lakes been coming to the Meadowcroft for a while now and this is the only place we stay.The Meadowcroft is everything we ever need and the staff and location and the cleanliness of the guest house is second to none..A hearty breakfast in the morning keeps you going a long time to make the most of your day before you even think of lunch so a big thumbs up.Will keep going back as long as we can.

Maybe the road noise but the lovely house made that less of an issue.

Lovely and clean and well decorated. Very dog friendly. Lots of little extras ie dog towels/poo bags - little touches like that appreciated. Nice to have a sitting room and access to fridge/ plates etc. just a lovely place to be.
