The stairs were quite steep to the upstairs rooms if I had known i would have booked a downstairs room . The bathroom hadn't really been finished off as the skirting under the bath needed painting which was a shame as the room was nice.

The bed was very comfortable. A fan had been provided. The carpets were new.

Bathroom needed a little more attention to detail on cleaning. Would have preferred mugs to cup and saucer. Website needs updating as states a continental breakfast, which may put people off.

Location was in a quiet area .Room very spacious and had all you needed. Bed was very comfortable. Excellent heavy curtains, so no light at night shone through.Staff were all very friendly and helpful. Food was excellent and plentiful. Great full English for breakfast and a good selection to choose from. Was great that you can walk into Ironbridge along the river from footpath beside pub garden. Lots of leaflets about things to see and do.

Can’t think of anything…

The staff at The Water Rat added the extra to make our stay so very lovely. Great accommodation, which was very quiet and away from the main pub itself, the newer part of the restaurant was built (which overlooked the lovely outside view) to join the pub & accommodation. The food was fresh and fab, very similarly priced for the whole of the area so by all means try elsewhere but really no need. Pub crawl from Ironbridge back to The Water Rat is a must. Thanks to all there for our lovely stay… ❤️

The standard double beds- very snug if booked by a couple, the stairs to access the bathroom in room 5. Room 6 would benefit from a couple of extra sockets.

The beautiful riverside location, great food in the restaurant, and in particular all the staff were super friendly and helpful. The family room was really good, but room 5 was not as great due to the internal stairs to access the bathroom, and a king sized bed would be much better.

Located by the river Severn and if you walk through the gardens to the river it’s much shorter into the town than by car . The walk about 5 mins also takes you through to dale park which is great for the children. We sat outside in the garden and enjoyed our coffee.Being so close to the town also meant we dident have to worry about parking . I enjoyed a family room which was beautiful .

Truthfully there isn’t anything not to like at all ..

We had a 50 yr school reunion there .. nothing was to much for the staff , all the staff were so kind , friendly , helpful and smartly dressed .. Sara the manager helped us so much before I arrived , sorted out the buffet it was excellent. Sorted where we could have our get together , every one complemented how beautiful every where was , about the staff , the location and food , we will definitely be back , only on small thing was oh please get a five blade FAN it was a hot weekend lol ..

People staying in the room above us were moving around the room from 6am. Floor boards creaked a lot between their room and ours. We were awake very early. Noise deadening material would be good to have between the floors. Understand some guests will be up early pacing the room. Not much can be done to prevent this.

Excellent breakfast butcher sausages were lovely. Dinner was lovely also. Location is fantastic and room was spacious and clean.
