A real gem of a guest house! Spacious room, private sitting room and bathroom, all perfectly equipped – even robes. The host is incredibly kind and makes you feel at home, with cozy fires lit and a generous breakfast full of fresh fruit. Parking is free and right outside. I only stayed one night but would happily return for a week!

Loved the Guest House, the owner was lovely. Breakfast was delicious so many choices from continental to full cooked breakfast. The room was spotless and comfortable. The towels were fantastic quality.

Nothing negative to say. We had a fabulous stay and would definitely go back.

Interesting, quirky property. The owner provided lots of great touches, so we had everything we could possibly need. She drove us to the station to catch our train as there were no taxis available. There was a wash basin in the bedroom.

The toilet and shower room was across the hall, not ensuite.

Very Clean comfortable room and an excellent breakfast

The shower and toilet were across the hallway. I was the only guest on the nights I stayed there so this was not really a problem.

It was traditional Scottish hospitality at its best. Beautiful Victorian house with character. You didn’t have en suite but you had your own separate shower room and toilet. Bathrobe supplied for floating between. Also lovely sitting room. Good Wi-Fi and tv. Breakfast table with linen tablecloth and lovely spread as not seen in Premier Inn. Best cooked breakfast in a long time. Asked for and got great porridge.

Don’t expect pristine. It’s an old building.

Nice, warm, clean and friendly place to stay. Breakfast, was 9 choices of fruit and 7 choices of cereal to choose from before a cooked breakfast.

Location good, parking good. Very good breakfast. The host Liz was friendly. The hotel was in the Edwardian style, with features of the era. I had my own bathroom, separate from the bedroom (not en-suite).

There was some building work going on in the immediate area, so I was up early to avoid noise.

a very fine breakfast cooked early because we had a ferry to catch. Barbara was happy to do that for us. very high ceilings and plaster cornices, books , gas fire and suitable TV the building owner is refurbishing the property and so scaffolding is rampant, but the ground floor unit is untouched

Everything was great - our hostess had been doing it for a long time

Great breakfast 🍳, very nice host , easy walk into town and train station.

Unfortunately there was work being done on the apartment above and so during the day ther was a bit of noise , but at least they start at 8am.

The receiving host, a lovely Scottish madam, was wonderful throughout our whole stay. The room was classic British style (moquette, warm colours) was excellent and felt like being our own home, with a warming crackling of a fireplace. The living room was very cosy and large. The breakfast was painstakingly complete and the host was extremely welcoming and polite. Overall, an unforgettable experience.

Great host, comfy bed and lovely breakfast

No unsuited but, as we were the only people staying, didn't mind having to leave the room during the night too much.
