Only a tiny criticism which was an ever so slightly uncomfortable bed

Everything! Really kind staff. We arrived late in the evening and it wasn’t a problem to get delicious dinner and dessert. Hotel very clean and comfortable. We regret that we stayed only one night.

Beautiful setting on the river and close to Aberdeen. Great to learn about the history of the property whilst staying there. Nicely appointed room with everything needed and very comfortable.

The food was not great for me, had the Halibut for main and a jungle off sea vegetable to much not enough of grapefruit and fennel salad .breakfast was good, but I had to ask for bowls for cereal glasses for juice. No pastries staff need to keep looking and filling up the staff very friendly 👍

We loved everything. It is on the pricy side.

It is a beautifully decorated and well maintained hotel. Super stylish and it really felt that we were in Scotland. There was even a Scottish wedding! Breakfast was exceptional and dinner was very enjoyable. We loved the lounge where we sat after dinner to read our books.

Unfortunately my evening meal wasn’t what I’d expected from a hotel of this standard. I’m vegan and knew they could cater for me. The menu looked lovely, when I ordered my main course, it had changed, ordered an alternative, which was overall disappointing, for this standard of hotel to serve a portion of boiled rice quite hard is poor!!! Then my dessert had been given a “quick” blast in the microwave, which left it tepid round the outer edges and cold in the centre. I was however not charged for it, as I complained, but again not what I’d expected from this hotel. My husbands meal was beautiful and had no complaints about it.

A lovely location overlooking the river, room was very comfortable and clean. Staff were very helpful and pleasant.

Everything about our stay was perfect. The hotel is beautiful, our room had a lovely view of the river and there are plenty outdoors to explore. The staff are very friendly and helpful and the food was excellent.

Being woken up early despite paying extra payment on top of expensive tariff for late departure. Then, housekeeping arguing because they hadn't been informed by reservation or reception. Because I'm pretty sure I was not the one as a guest to be debating with!

Evening meal. Lamb rump had a lot of gristle in it. Halibut over cooked. Accessible facilities in room a bit lacking no grab rails by toilet or shower. In a twin room but only one chair to sit on.

Nothing, loved it all, except I wished I'd stayed longer

Everything was fantastic. The grounds, the room, the size of the room, the view of the river, the location of the property (so peaceful). Loved the layout of the hotel and all it offers, a pre-dinner drink in the cosy bar, the restaurant (the food was absolutely delicious, first class quality produce and taste), breakfast plenty of variety and all staff were professional, pleasant, helpful, and friendly. I have been wanting to stay here for several years and I was so delighted with my experience. Keep up the great work, you are managing a wonderful travel experience

Difficult to find way around, had difficulty finding breakfast, maybe need some tasteful signage. Food menu - insufficient choice. Ordered from room service menu, which we found by accident. Pizza was hard, lukewarm and tasted odd. Chips were lovely, but not enough of them. Breakfast food delicious but service a bit haphazard. Poor waiter must have walked miles serving the two couples who were at breakfast. Had to ask for more butter, milk, fruit etc.This should have been anticipated, we shouldn't have to ask! Maybe more training needed for the young staff.
