Restaurant menu - very limited

The hotel ambience, interior decor is nicely done and gave a luxury feel. Rooms were a good size. The staircase going up to rooms 27 etc was dirty and looked like it wasnt vacuumed. Loved the spa facilities. The restaurant menu is a very limited though so we ended up ordering in dinner.

The room was quite tired looking and bathroom could have been cleaner. Hand basin didn’t drain which was gross, towels were small compared to other hotels and there was no hand soap in the ladies toilets in this day and age I am very surprised this was the case.

Nice location very close to Silent Pool Distillery which I visited for a tour. Good sized car park with ample parking even though there was a wedding that day

We couldn’t play our own music in the speakers at the outdoor pool even though everyone was enjoying and wasn’t overly loud.

Location was great it was a little bit hard to find at first on the map but we got there and it was lovely. Our car battery died overnight and the staff did everything they could to help us! Also we were celebrating a birthday and all the staff went above and beyond to make sure we had a great time and felt special.

On the communal doors in several places it was obvious they hadn’t been cleaned in a long time where people had put their hands on a daily basis

Very small towels supplied and not white. Blue towels looking worn out One shower by the pool area. One not working Couldn’t see lift for anyone who struggled with stairs

I think it could do with a full-time cleaner for the general cleaning of windows mirrors etc, and all public areas, including the toilets as no soap in the dispensers in the spa, and it needs cleaning, but this didn't stop us having a lovely time

Lovely evening meal, Mo in the restaurant and bar was so helpful and friendly. Lovely scenery whilst relaxing outside around the outside hot tub. Friendly receptionist and helpful. Great location for venues. Cleaning could be improved, but this didn't stop is having a lovely time, and we will be returning. Thank you for a lovely stay.

We didn’t like our room, very dated, had a weird smell, beds were comfy and bathroom was a good standard!

We liked mostly everything, the spa was fab, had to go to reception for towels which we found odd! The restaurant and bar were lovely, staff were so friendly

It would've been good to know re needing change for the lockers and a bit more signage around the hotel would be great as it's easy to get lost. I was also surprised the restaurant area was closed just after 11am when I went to try and get a coffee.

A beautiful hotel! The staff are really friendly, welcoming and helpful too! The grounds are stunning and plenty of outdoor seating areas too.

Just one small problem was that the shower door was missing making it hard not to drench the bathroom floor. Some gf choices listed on the menu were not available

We we given a very nice large room overlooking the garden. An evening meal in the restaurant was very nice.

Some of the rooms needs updating.

This is our second time here but I preferred the 1st room we have in 2023 with wider window with a beautiful scenery. Very good breakfast and SPA is lovely.

Small thing but shower gel would be good rather than small bar of soap and somewhere to place it. Larger towels - lucky I am quite small!

Lovely building with character in beautiful grounds. Decor was lovely with lots of plants and flowers. Reception staff were lovely too. I was only there for a quick overnight stay so didn't have time to try out the Spa or the Breakfast. Nice ambiance, would recommend and would definitely stay here again. I was only in a single room but it had lots of space and everything I needed. The bedding and pillows were high quality and very comfortable.

There is no lift. Not convenient for elderly people.

Luke warm water for our morning shower

Welcoming staff. Decor is beautiful and luxurious. Lovely grounds. Indoor pool is quite small and shallow but still nice to relax in.
