Nothing I didn’t like.. room wasn’t sparkling clean but fine ie some of the old window frames and fireplace weren’t spotless.. didn’t bother me but some people would moan about that stuff!

Lots of character, lovely old country house and ideal location for the reason I was in the area. All staff lovely.

1600s house being brought back to life by the charity owners was full of character and atmosphere. Staff were amazing and breakfast was excellent. Great base for trips in and around Norwich.

Not many power points in the room; understandable in a Grade II listed building.

The location is quiet and secluded yet very convenient for Norwich; the house is ancient and beautiful with lovely grounds; the room was comfortable, and the cooked breakfast excellent. The staff were attentive and helpful. Very good value for money.

The bed mattress was a little firm a toper might have helped

Stayed before room met our expectations and the cooked breakfast set us up for a good start to the day ahead. We were exhibiting at the Norfolk Showground All About Dogs Show, close by. Thanks for looking after us.

Breakfast. Room free wifi but amazing staff who waited for me to check in when A140 was closed and I had to do massive detour round single lane roads at dusk to get there 😊

Its not a didn't like just an observation - Could serve breakfast a little earlier than 08:00 hrs, times not suitable for anyone here on work where an earlier start if needed over someone on a holiday.

Nice house and gardens, traditional and comfortable. Rooms good but with some old house characteristics, you can hear people in other rooms walking about on squeaky floorboards at times. Internet wasn't all that great if that's a requirement.

Warmly welcomed by Katrina. Enjoyed the garden views and access to a comfortable residents' lounge. Plenty of options for breakfast, which was excellent. We had a very good evening meal at The World's End pub - a short drive away in Mulbarton.

The hotel was very old and owned by a charity who are trying to renovate the house. John the manager and custodian of the hotel spent alot of time talking and explaining the history of the biulding to us over breakfast which was fascinating. The rooms are pleasant and as the house is from the 16th century a little quirky but full of character. The breakfast was great and the grounds hidden away. The swimming 🏊‍♂️ pool was recently completely renovated and was brilliant. Many thanks to John and the staff for a fantastic stay

The house is over 300 years old so naturally it is quite dated in terms of decor. Towels are hard and frayed.

checking in was very good with friendly staff. room was clean n tidy, also very quiet around the place. breakfast was good with very friendly and helpful person.
