Only criticism was the shower. I couldn't find a cool or cold setting in the heatwave !! However the option of the bath as well was a welcome answer as it did have cold water.

Stunning room with lovely furnishings, massive four poster bed which was comfortable and the choice of a bath or shower. The guesthouse itself is beautifully presented and has real character inside.

Unfortunately our first morning we were awoken to loud talking and a knock on our door, even though we put a sign saying "do not disturb" which was frustrating as were having a well needed lie in. The room was a little on the small side. The bed being a wooden frame we kept walking into which could not be helped due to the size of the room.

Absolutely gorgeous rooms, really felt like you were transported to another country, every ornament, bedding, towels were relevant to to the room, everything was well thought out and stunning. Hosts were great and the breakfast amazing. Location just a 12min walk to central Nottingham.

I should have double checked exactly where the gate for the parking was to avoid the one way system.

The room was clean and nice, but you could notice a bit of a worn state on some points. For example the bathroom could use an update. The general state of the building is good, but if you look at the pricing of the nights you would expect just a little more. Also because the very good breakfast and parking of the car is not included in the pricing.

The location is perfect, 5mins walking from the city center and still easy to reach by car. Marina and David are incredibly friendly and helpful. On our day of return we were even able to get our breakfast for on the road, freshly prepared. The breakfast during the rest of the stay is a must try as well, lots to choose from that is freshly prepared every morning.

Perhaps if we stayed longer, we might have needed more clothes storage space, but we were only on an overnight stay.

We loved the quirkiness. Staff really hospitable. Room spacious. Bed comfy. Shower hot. Really great range of tasty food options. Superb location for walking into Nottingham town centre.

The bed wasn't the most comfortable. I could feel the springs, and it could have used a topper. The room was also a little cold, but I had my hot water bottle, so I was fine, and I didn't bother to ask for a heater so that was on me.

Overall the room met my expectations as far as wanting to stay in an interesting space. The property was clean and very pleasant, along with the owners/staff.

I'm rating a 7 because I realise I was charged 2x for this stay. Although they rectified this it's something I wouldn't normally catch and only discovered 2 months later. Frustrating because they would have secured another £80. There should be more checks and balances in place. Not sure if it was a fault of booking.com or mama's inb

Heaters wasn't on or working, or be able to switch them on, but they told us they go off at 10:30pm, but I stayed 1 day and the room was frozen all day along

We found the male host to be a little hostile, not sure this was intentional, but this was our experience. Little flexibility in terms of bookings for breakfast. We found it hard to choose what we might want to eat for breakfast when were focusing on going out for dinner, and had limited time on arrival to think about these things.

The rooms were beautiful and it was evident a lot of care had gone into the detail. The layout and standard of the room and bathroom were very high. Good coffee and tea facilities.

The shower was a little too hot, but otherwise a clean, comfortable room, with an individual feel. I believe the rooms all have a theme, and this was a welcome change from the usual anonymous chain hotel rooms we generally experience...

Hosts were very attentive, we were made very welcome, the room was very splendid indeed. A gem of a place, close to the city centre.

Parking was tricky to find. Large property so many stairs to climb with heavy bags.

Bedroom was spacious and 3 proper single beds we wanted. Had parking. amazing decor. Lots of breakfast options and the dining room was fabulous-great service.

Only thing was the shower wasn't easy to control and not powerful. Outside front needs more light. Overall place was amazing!

We had the casablanca room. More like a suite. Loved the quirkiness of the place. Very comfy bed lovely and warm. Very welcoming hosts. Very convenient for town lots of restaurants across the road and easy parking at the back.
