It would have been perfect had the grass not been mowed, what felt like our entire break.

That the grass was mowed for our virtual stay, which was disappointing as we wanted a quiet, relaxing break.

Location, surroundings which were ideal for toddlers and dogs. It was very clean. Host was very helpful and accommodatimg.

This is a fab place to stay on so many levels. The log cabin is situated at the edge of a large field, edged with trees with a lovely river for paddling at the bottom of the field. There is access to a fantastic old woodland which is off the beaten track and makes for great and adventurous walks. My two dogs adored their stay! The log cabin has everything you need ... even a bottle of Prosecco as part of the welcome pack. Plenty of wood was supplied for the wood burner to include the kindling, fire-lighters and coal. The table on the cabin patio is perfect to watch the sun go down and rise. The family who own the log cabin are almost on-site but live behind the log cabin so you wouldn't know and no-one comes to bother you which is great. However, the hostess with the mostess award has to go to Tracey! Tracey kindly recused us in her car one day, as we had over walked from the cabin and were facing a long walk home via the country lanes which was proving too much for my old hound (and us tbh). This was such a relief. Tracey is down to earth, friendly, practical and genuinely helpful and kind. They also don't charge for a million and one add ons like many other rentals - e.g. dogs are free! Thanks for a lovely stay 🥰

Our stay at Lyne View was absolutely perfect! The cabin was beautifully presented, cosy, had great facilities, and Tracey thoughtfully provided a lovely welcome package. We especially enjoyed relaxing by the log fire with a glass of fizz. Tracey went above and beyond to ensure we had everything we needed, even picking us up from the station so we didn’t have to worry about a taxi. We’re already looking forward to returning in the future. Thank you so much, Tracey!

It was perfect for us as a family, there wasn't anything to dislike.

We liked everything about our stay. The cabin was just perfect for us. We stayed one night to break up our travelling to the Highlands and booked two nights on our way back to Wales. The owners were so nice and made sure we had everything we needed. Was left supplies and a bottle of bubbly which was extremely kind. So much space outside for our dog to run around, she certainly loved it there. It was so relaxing, would stay again if travelling in that area.

The birds nesting on the outside of the cabin as the wee chicks were noisy in the early hours so kept me awake a bit but it wasn't too bad.

Me and my family loved the cabin and being away from town and cars and we loved the peace and quiet and nature around us.

    There was nothing to dislike.

We had a lovely welcome from Tracey who went above and beyond to help us when we arrived. Had a great welcome pack. Beds were comfortable, the wood burning stove was great and fun to use. It felt like a Snow White Cottage . The space outside was incredible as was the wildlife. We even saw a deer. The wifi, dvd's were great. It was dog friendly and also not too far away from Carlisle. The whole family were very nice . We would definitely visit again.
