The property is very beautiful with a big yard to entertain the children. The hosts were very friendly and very accommodating. An EXCEPTIONAL experience at the property and we will definitely return there every time we visit the UK.

Not that this could be helped, but our stay was over the heatwave. It was incredibly hot upstairs in the bedroom. A small fan was supplied and we also brought our own, which did help a little.

Breakfast options were good for us, cereals and pastries and lots of options for tea and coffee. Nice to have a large milk there for us.

there is a small kitchen with microwave, fridge and water, but no hob and a good bed but a bit on small side.

There was no hob in the kitchen! This is obvious from the photos but I missed it. It didn't affect our stay as the microwave was all we needed.

The house was lovely, very well done up and comfortable. The kitchen was small, but well stocked both of kitchen-ware and food!! The bathroom was great. The bedroom was beautiful under the eaves but had plenty of room and laid out very thoughtfully so no chance of banging heads. The living room was well thought out and had a lovely view. The garden was fabulous and the guaranteed parking and free WiFi was the cherry on top. The hosts were very welcoming and helpful but not intrusive in any way.

The pillows could be a little bit comfier.

The accommodation was extremely cozy- the rooms heated up quickly and the heaters were easy to use. There was also plenty of blankets/linen available. The host was friendly and helpful and sent us a message with great local information. The location was also perfect for us to take day trips to multiple towns, we visited Oxford, Cambridge and could have got into London quite easily. The local area was also great for walking and had very picturesque small towns for coffee etc. Overall, our stay was very easy and cozy.

Absolutely nothing. Except having to go home.

Karen and Geoff are friendly, attentive and so welcoming. Nothing was too much trouble - even last minute requests for wine and Guiness were quickly organised. The cottage at their home is gorgeous, very private, super clean and really cosy. The beds are comfortable and the bedding was soft and clean and smelt really nice. The kitchen is really well stocked and the extra touches such as milk, butter, jam, cereal, bread, tea, coffee and sugar were lovely. Hot water was constant, which was amazing. We had such a fabulous and relaxing time in the quiet and peaceful location. Thank you so much and see you again in the new year!

Kitchen is a little small as there is no cooker or hob BUT the hosts did provide alternatives such as a microwave, slow cooker and steamer. They also could provide guests with homemade meals on request.

Very clean, well equipped accommodation with an excellent welcome pack that exceeded our expectations and what we have experienced elsewhere. If you have children the host is extremely helpful in providing age appropriate toys and games. Hosts were also very accommodating, very aware of the need to be around to help if needed but to also give you your own space. Local pub within a 5 minute walk + details of lots of other nearby walks were provided. Fish and Chip van comes into the village once a week, which was very good. Location is also excellent for exploring Hertfordshire, Bedfordshire and Buckinghamshire. We also took the underground at Chesham, which is zone 9 and took us 20 minutes to drive.

I recently had the pleasure of staying at Loxley Farm, and it was an unforgettable experience. From the moment I arrived, Karen went above and beyond to ensure my comfort and satisfaction. The cottage has everything you need, lovely views of the countryside, coupled with exceptional service, made my stay truly memorable. I can’t wait to return to Loxley Farm on my next visit to the UK. Highly recommended!

Could find no fault at all

Brilliant location - so close to London but such a change of pace. Karen was a marvellous host - warm and welcoming and always available if required. Every little detail thought of - milk, bread, cereal and OJ provided, also lots of information on local attractions.

A really beautiful place, set in lovely grounds and the hosts were very helpful both before the trip and on arrival, Karen does home cooked meals which we opted to have on our first night and we all thoroughly enjoyed a very tasty meal, She does offer breakfast as well which I am sure will be equally as fabulous. The accommodation is comfortable and just about every little thing has been thought of, From a private little garden to enjoy, a lovely little outside area that would be perfect on a warmer evening. To all the little extras you don’t normally get but are really appreciated. Lovely walks to the canal where we found a wonderful pub, local pub looks really nice also but we don’t get chance to get there and there is also a wonderful little place in Tring called Nona’s, and would highly recommend a trip there . we also found a local gin distillery called campfire gins, Very nice.

We had a great stay at the barn over a stormy weekend. The bedroom was warm and cosy with plenty of space, the kitchen was well equipped and everything clean and tidy. Karen gave us a lovely welcome and left out a big basket of toys that our 18 month old toddler loved playing with. We will certainly book again

A beautiful cosy converted barn that had everything we required. Comfortable beds, well furnished, good heating in all areas including type bathroom. Lots of extras with all ages in mind, such as books and games. Spotlessly clean in a real lovely area. Karen and Geoff are the perfect considerate hosts and very welcoming. As many have stated in their guest book before us, we will back and soon!

We stayed when it was -5 degrees so it was very cold. The cottage was warm when the heating was on. The bathroom didn't have any heating so it was cold. A heated towel rail would be nice and a more powerful shower. But otherwise fabulous.

It is self-catered accommodation but the food and drink provided was fantastic. Bread, milk, orange juice, selection of teas, coffee etc. croissants, cereal even homemade jam. It is a great location for attending Bury Farm Equestrian. The cottage was perfect for our stay. Friendly and informative hosts. Great recommendation for pubs nearby.

It was all good.

Very peaceful, clean and equipped for our needs. Ideal location for walking The Ridgeway and even better that there were 3 beds. Local restaurants were very good. We will return to do some more walks.
