We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):

Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

PolandThere was a huge problem with room keys that didn't work. It took almost 3 days to resolve the problem. We sent multiple messages to the owner on booking but they didn't reply. Glad the office answered our phone but still it took them 2 days to resolve this. We needed a new key to our room to lock it and go out without worrying about anything. One man come there and locked our room saying there would be a new one in our locker later but it turned out that they didn't leave new keys and we had another problem with opening the door. So unprofessional. Additionally, they left the key but in our locked room:) Not really intelligent people work there. I wish I could get a partial refund.
The localisation was pretty good. Near the underground and buses. In 30 minutes you can reach the city centre. The other guests were so nice.

Portugal- the address was not the one on booking. We were given a different one through texts. We found it strange but everything worked out well - the shower pressure was low - hard to control the water temperature - the room gets a little hot, but it is possible to turn on a fan or open the window.
- spacious flat - kitchen utensils and kitchenette - contactless check-in and check-out - near 2 different metro stations with different lines - I was skeptical about it from the reviews, but the room that was assigned to us was great - amazing place to stay during a wembley / ovo arena show or game

GermanySince I arrived the first morning instead of the evening before, my key was gone and it took hours until someone came to give me one. Then, it was only a krey for the front door, so in the evening I had to call someone else to open my room for me when my roommates had locked the door before going. You got the feeling that they have too few staff for too many hostels

BrazilI'm a woman and I selected a mixed room, but they accommodated me in a male room. Only on the last day did they ask me if I wanted to change. There is no curtain on the bed, no cage for a large suitcase and no power sockets on all layers. There are also no lights in the beds. Cleaning left a lot to be desired!
The bathrooms were large for hostel standards and the showers were excellent. Living area also spacious.

United KingdomRoom was very small with a clumsy bed that would make sound even when you sit on it. Room was naturally warm and hot and surprisingly no fan was provided. First night we arrived and when we entered it was really hot in there and I asked manager that we can't sleep here without Fan and they said we'll arrange tomorrow but you need to compromise tonight. We were just there to explore london and we couldn't sleep whole night and kept sweating. We got up tired and met another manager and he assured that by the time you come back today we'll put fan in your room even dropped message to owner on booking.com. when we came back mid night we got surprised seeing no fan still and saw message reply from owner that we can't provide fan. We stayed up whole night again and got really tired and depressed. We checkout next day although we had to checkout one day later. We cancelled our trip and came back home not to mention there was no mirror in the room and shared toilets are way too small. Very awful experience
