The location is stunning, lovely rolling hills and a view over the sea. Portpatrick is a very nice old fishing village, great place to eat and drink. Visits to Wigtown, Isle of Whithorn. Logan Botanical Gardens and the coast around Port William all well worth doing.

Lovely property, relaxing atmosphere, peaceful , has everything you need, defo recommend the welcome basket..: amazing!!! Ian and Kay are fantastic hosts, go above and beyond, made our family holiday special especially for our daughter , highly recommend, will definitely be back

Unfortunately we were in the real cabins with two brown cabins in the front, which meant looking at two brown walls if we sat on the verandah also one on either side of us VERY limited sea or rural views

The interna layout was really nice, the kitchen had all you need for a good holiday, and the area was lovely

Fabulous location, the lodge was equipped with everything we needed. The hosts are both friendly and welcoming, the recommended coastal path into the beautiful harbour village of Portpatrick was definitely worth the walk. Thank you, Ian and Kay, for our wonderful stay

Everything was great

Very cosy lodge looking out to beautiful views of the countryside & the Irish Sea. Very enjoyable stay so peaceful and relaxing. The owners are the nicest people I’ve met in Scotland very welcoming, let my daughter feed the lambs & made us some beautiful tasty jams & bread. We will definitely be back again soon.

We liked everything about this place. The location, hosts, accommodation..the lot. Excellent fenced off area for the dogs to play safely in. Fantastic. We will be back for sure.

A bit chilly caravan in early spring months, had to use heaters but imagine would be fine most of the year

Nothing . Worth considering, it's a few miles out of town so it would be difficult to manage without a car.

Everything . In particular, the hosts, Ian and Kay, are incredibly accommodating and make themselves readily available for all your needs. No mean feat, considering they're running a farm ( in lambing season no less ) and working pretty much 24/7. Also, their farm produce is fresh and great quality. Well worth buying for a change from supermarket stuff and it helps to support Ian and Kay.

Location excellent, thoroughly enjoyed our stay just wish it was longer. Owners great, provided space but showed interest. Girls loved the farm experience, you should consider that as an option for visits. Lovely relaxing place

Beds & pillows could do with some tlc. However the stay was sensibly priced.

Communications with Ian were excellent throughout and minor problems were dealt with. Excellent location between farmland and coast, with Portpatrick only 10 mins drive. Property was fresh, clean and airy.

Lodge was perfect. Welcome pack was well worth the money. Lodge was well stocked and very comfortable. We were made to feel very welcome. Directions given were very good. Could have been difficult to find otherwise.

Beautiful lodge with amazing views, Kay and Ian are fantastic hosts, nothing is too much for them as they want you to enjoy your stay, I even tried some gorgeous home made jam too, will definitely be back again and will highly recommend to all of our friends and family xx

Peace, calm and great sea views! My wife was delighted seeing the farm animals all around, lots of new born lambs.

It was clean and tidy, with all the requirements we needed, with a beautiful view. We met Kay who was lovely. The dog area was an added bonus and right next to the lodge we stayed in. It just gave Merlin that extra free run that you don't always get elsewhere. When it was that little bit chilly at night the heating system worked a treat and the lodge warmed up in no time, easy to use the boiler too. Really can't fault the shower, it was clean, lovely and warm, powerful too.We loved how you could park next to the lodge and was able to walk through the fields were the sheep/lambs grazed. We definitely saw some funny little characters in there. All in all a lovely stay, would definitely book there again.
