Needs renovation to justify the money. Dripping leak in reception area very off putting.

Great location.Reception staff and cook so attentive and breakfast was good.On day of leaving he gave us a breakfast to go. Parking on site excellent.

Outdated and shabby but a refurb is planned. Hot breakfast might have been better as made to order as it was a little dry as a buffet - but nice overall.

Staff were very friendly and responsive in helping when we had a problem with the room.

The price was steep—£400 for one night without breakfast felt excessive. The hotel is clearly older, and the rooms reflected that: limited charging ports, poor lighting with dim bulbs, and no basic amenities like a microwave. At that price point, small upgrades like better lighting and in-room conveniences would make a big difference. Suggestion: Investing in modern touches (like brighter lights, more outlets, and basic kitchen amenities) would really help justify the premium summer pricing.

We made a last-minute booking during the busy Scottish summer season, and despite the rush, the room we got was spacious with truly stunning views. You can tell the new owners are putting in effort to improve the place, which is appreciated.

The room was noisy, with a blower/extractor fan outside roaring into life every 20-30 minutes, plus there was a loud and persistent dripping noise outside the window from above; fortunately, I was so tired that I slept through most of the noise!

Well located, facing the Kyle of Lochalsh and only a stone’s throw from the Skye Bridge. Apparently an older property that recently changed hands, the staff are trying really hard to whip it back into shape again.

Can't think of anything that I either didn't like or didn't expect. The hotel was built for busier times and faded in comparison to a modern, centrally located 4 star hotel, but it claims exactly what it is. My room and en suite were neatly painted and very clean.

My Host could not have been more of a help. A warm comfortable room with a wonderful view close to the rail head. A plentiful breakfast cooked to order for me, as I was the only guest, but juices, spreads etc all at hand. An echo perhaps to a time just recently past with the arrival of the bridge, but I travelled in low season at the end of a winter.

As mentioned in other reviews the hotel could do with an update. The radiator in my room didn't work but I had a (small) electric radiator which was fine as I had more control over the heating but would be insufficient in really cold weather.

Booked here at short notice because of a cancellation and change in ferry just before Storm Ashley. I had a lovely big comfortable room with a view over the Loch. I also had no problem with the hot water and had a good hot shower. It is in a perfect location to travel to Uig ferry port which is about an hours drive. Would I stay there again despite its quirks? - most definitely.

Mattress was on the firm side but not uncomfortable, one side of the bed felt like the mattress had collapsed and leaning to one side. Some of the restaurant meals were unavailable on the day.

Stunning views, Good sized room , Perfect location for Isle of Skye exploring, right next to train station which was my main criteria. Friendly and helpful staff.

I cannot moan about anything. All my needs were met and I did not expect anymore. I enjoyed my stay just as much as I would in a luxury hotel(is luxury a necessity?). I had a very satisfying dinner and breakfast, comfort, and a good night`s sleep. What more does one need?

Old and worn - ceiling to 1st floor corridor looks like it’s ready to fall down! Place needs a refresh to continue as a viable venue with local competition You should apply light frosted film to toilet windows facing in to the car park - people in the car park or walking past the front can see right in !

    Clean
