Rooms not ready they Arrived after we got there. Heaters didn't work in room or kitchen 14 degrees.. Extensive cracked tiles. Cleaners forgot to empty bins in communal kitchen. Nowhere to hang towels to dry 4 hooks doesn't work used cupboard. 7 miles out of town we had as short walk from Urquhart castle or loch centre. Luckily we had a car.

The hostel had a kitchen with a few tables but no lounge area. The facilities were ok but run down.

We stayed at this hostel while walking the Affic Kintail Way. Just for one night. It was a convenient location in an area with few accommodation options.

We were surprised when we arrived here that there was no staff in the aria. On the front door were so many bird droppings that a had to push with my feet so we can enter inside. The smell of old house, no ventilation, we had to open all the windows to get fresh air, but none of the windows had insects protection.

We like the location, and the village near by. Great for hikers.

Basic room.admittedly a hostel not hotel but I’ve paid similar for hotel that was better value. Beds very uncomfortable and front door to room 3 doesn’t close properly making it difficult to lock. Kitchen well equipped but no good for me as I had to leave by 7 and it did t open until 7:3@

The mattress was pretty grotty for comfort. A new arrival was given the wrong code for their room and the telephone number I phoned on their behalf was never answered. So no sighting of the owner in three days I was there. I didn’t use the kitchen facilities so can’t comment. No information about anything available. Frankly this place should only be considered as a last resort.

I appreciate it is a hostel and the thing which let it down were the shared facilities. It was clean enough when we arrived but there were very few mugs and spoons of any sorts. the cooking pots and pans were clean but very worn and one tin was extremely rusty. There were enough facilties to prepare and cook a meal but things got worse over the 4 nights we stayed as the place was not cleaned so the floors were filthy, the bins un emptied. The kitchen surfaces were kept clean as all the guest tidied and cleaned up after themseleves well. No washing up was left dirty although after the first day there were no clean teatowels. The toilet paper ran out in the communal toilets. The dining room was very cold so we ate our first meal in coats and after that ate in our lovely warm room. Our room was round the back and the decking was covered in leaves and very slippery. There were no outside lights either which made it worse. The place has huge potential and we would consider staying again as we would be better prepared with picnic stuff, table and chairs

The bedroom and bath room were clean and comfortable. The setting is beautiful.

Cleaning behind cupboards and under beds lacking, dead insects and dust, TV not working, bathroom toilet brush was absolutely disgusting all the way up the handle - yet the toilet itself was cleaned well and so was the sink, was OK for a one-nighter, but that brush was a sight to behold without even using it, such a cheap problem to not have to deal with when IKEA sells brushes for nothing..

Cheap and not too far away from points of interest, beautiful shallow river nearby, quiet. Despite negatives, it was absolutely worth the cheap price, I am overall satisfied. Clean and quite comfortable beds for the price. Community kitchen was alright, full kitchen access.

Common kitchen area could do with a general clean. It was tidy but things felt a little oily. Ability to rent a towel would’ve helped but I think that only applied to the situ that my friend were in. Other than that, it was as expected.

The room was little small but defenitely manageable for a short stay, specially when we are mostly out on the road. Parking was also little difficult but manageable as well. Only the entrance of the property could be little more open for driving the car in safely, it was bit tight.

The location is very beautiful and not very far from Inverness or other attractions. Kitchen was well equipped and clean.

The shower curtain was full of mould... Also, I booked a single room with the bathroom, and there were four beds in the room - a bit confusing. No bath towels provided - I didn't find any info about that on the hostel description. Also, guests that arrived late (12am) were noisy, and the walls between the rooms are very thin.

Easy self check in. Access to well equipped kitchen which was clean. Parking on site. Warm room as heating was on.

They changed the location on booking, but we didn't get email about it, so we had to drive in the night unnecessary miles, however the 2nd location was much better.

Most of the facilities shown are not provided. When asked with the staff they responded in a rude manner. Heater in the room wasn't working and staff didn't respond to the situation and slept in a chilly room.
