How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

This makes a fabulous overnight stop for the Traws Eryri route. The secure bike storage is ideal. The shop has delicious coffee and everything you need for a good breakfast, the pub has great food and beer. Diolch.

Only thing I'd have liked is recycling facilities.
The hostel is fabulous. The shop has everything we needed and the views are stunning. Everyone was friendly and helpful.

The property is located in the center of Trawsfynydd village. It's clean, comfortable, and offers good amenities. The plus is that there's a supermarket downstairs where you can check in and buy breakfast items.

1 bathroom between 18 people staying. Have to time it carefully!!
Good location for our cycling trip, very clean, good kitchen and a newish feeling place. The shop underneath is great and the staff were lovely.

Push button shower is a little annoying to use (and noisy pipes!) but understand better for the environment!
We collected keys from the Siop Glyndwr below the bunkhouse, such a handy shop for dinner and snacks for our onward walk the next day too! Friendly welcome there, and the room and kitchen were so clean, comfortable and spacious. We liked the Yma O Hyd sign on the wall! Lovely view of the hills from our room as well. We made dinner in the well equipped and modern kitchen and had a cosy night here after a 15 mile walk that day. In the morning we wanted to start walking at 7am as we had a 20 mile day ahead- and were kindly allowed to use the coffee machine in the shop just before they opened! Diolch!

Nothing, loved it all .
Everything. The people looking after the place were so friendly, accommodating and helpful. Nothing was too much trouble. As we were doing the Traws Eryri cycle path, this was perfectly placed. The accommodation is modern, the kitchen well equipped with a washing machine 😃 Diolch yn fawr / Thank you very much x

A proper drying room would have been great, but I still got a bit of hand washing done and clothes dried by the morning.
No breakfast service, but general store just next door and communal kitchen in bunkhouse to use. Simple accommodation but spotlessly clean and bright, airy and welcoming. Staff friendly and helpful (Available in the shop)

Could do with a few D locks to borrow would be really helpful in the bike shed.
Great bunkhouse. We stayed there as we were doing the traws Eryri. Staff were so helpful and the shop and location was perfect. The chip shop van also visited on a Monday night and was an awesome dinner! Washing machine and fully fitted kitchen was perfect.

Had a great stay. Very clean room. And a good sized functionable communal kitchen and dining room. Friendly staff. Handy being located over the shop for all you essentials. Great price. Will stay again.

We were very satisfied with the hotel - the environment is neat, the service is pleasant and clear. Great location - quiet, and everything you need is nearby: shops, cafes. I definitely recommend it!

Very good place to discover Wales and Snowdonia National park. The 8 people room is spacious, clean and tidy. The shared kitchen is fully furnished. Staff is super nice and helpful. I would recommend to anyone.

Great bunkhouse and perfect for our needs. We were cycling the Traws Eyrie cycle route across Snowdonia. Iwan, the owner was very friendly and helpful. I would definitely recommend staying here if you are cycling or hiking in the area as a group.
