The breakfast was exceptional. The choice was extensive and Mary was happy to provide aanything we required. However, it was not just the meal itself. We thoroughly enjoyed and looked forward to Mary and Stephen's company at breakfast. They were also very helpul regarding information about the area.

Everything was great.

I got a very friendly welcome with coffee and cake on arrival. There was a huge choice of food for breakfast with non- dairy milk provided for me. It's well located on a bus route near the town and has a garden if you just want to relax.

The only thing that bothered me at all, was a lack of something to hold while in the shower. This was only a small problem, because I have bad balance - most people wouldn't have a problem.

I was met by such friendly hosts and given a cup of tea and a piece of cake. Mary and Stephen couldn't have done more throughout my stay. Fresh milk provided in my room for tea/coffee. No limit on tea bags provided - this service in the room was excellent, so often you don't get fresh milk. Breakfast was much more than I expected - superb quality and great choice. Pity I didn't stay longer to sample all the choices.

The B&Bis well laid out and in a good location. Mary and Stephen are wonderful hosts who can’t do enough for their guests. The breakfasts they provide are amazing.

Slightly off centre of town but we enjoyed the walking as the weather was great!

Wonderful welcome at Lilac House by our hosts who brought us a lovely pot of tea and biscuits in the patio soon after we arrived! Very nicely decorated bedrooms and very clean. Though on main road, bedrooms are at the back so not noisy at all and parking outside the house was a big plus!

We had an absolutely wonderful stay at Lilac Villa ! This gorgeous house is in an ideal location about a 10-15 minute walk to the beach and town centre. There is a bus stop right outside the house with buses going to the beach/ town/ harbour & surrounding towns & villages. Mary and Stephen are a delightful couple! They are extremely welcoming and caring hosts who both really go the extra mile to make guests feel comfortable and at home . Nothing was too much trouble for them ! They showed us to our room and helped us with our luggage upon arrival. Then brought hot drinks and home made cake to our room to welcome us. We had delicious made to order cooked breakfasts, cereals, fruit pastries, yoghurts every day. They even offered to make us different vegetarian food for breakfast! I was touched by Mary & Stephen caring and considerate attitude towards my elderly , less mobile father- offering him a supportive arm into the dining room and pureeing his food for him as he has difficulty chewing & swallowing solid food. Our bedroom and bathroom were light and airy and spotlessly clean. There was a kettle, tea, coffee, cocoa, biscuits & colour TV in the room. Delicious fresh cold milk was provided in flasks daily instead of processed milk in teeny sachets. Freshly filtered water was also provided daily in a large glass bottle. All of these would be replenished during the day if left the empties in a basket outside the room. We had lovely comfortable beds , soft fluffy towels and a spacious walk in shower with plenty of hot water. We stayed in a pretty garden room with patio doors opening onto a beautiful lawned garden with tables and chairs & parasols where we could enjoy the sunshine with a lovely cup of tea. Mary and Stephen gave us plenty of tips about places worth visiting , eateries, routes & where to park etc. They really made our holiday a wonderfully special and stress free experience.

The hosts were fabulous, we received a warm welcome and they continued to look after us in the same way all week. Breakfast daily was of the highest standard with the cooked breakfast the best I’ve ever had, our en-suite room was perfect. We made some fabulous memories during our visit to Weymouth and our stay at Lilac Villa, thank you Mary and Stephen.

We could not fault anything really.

The hosts,Stephen and Mary are excellent.They are very friendly and cannot do enough to make your stay as comfortable as possible. There was a very good choice on the breakfast menu which was nicely cooked and well presented. The beds were very comfortable and the showers easy to use,which isn't always the case.
