When we first arrived I felt the decor was tired and there were a few cobwebs around. However bedding was spotless and the location definitely out weighed the tired appearance and I would go back.

Location was brilliant. We could walk to the beach easily- access is at the end of the car park. The sea view was absolutely worth the little extra as we watched both sun sets and lightening from our window.

Hotel fire alarm was triggered two mornings at around 7am due to guests in a room on the first floor having a hot shower steam from which activated the fire alarm....the hotel manager did not accept that either the extracter fan was not adequate or that the fire alarm should be moved away from directly outside the bathroom door..and this is an ongoing issue he is not going to address at all...no apology no goodwill gesture just saying safety is priority which is obvious! so be prepared for regular fire alarm disruptions to any stay in this hotel....we paid a premium rate for the whole weekend £711 for 3 nights due to massive concert events at Sandringham no extra facilities provided just cashing in which is usual don't blame them for that... but expected a relaxing start to every morning didn't get 2 out of 3 mornings.....won't return or recommend until this fire alarm problem is taken seriously and resolved!

Room was small and a bit tattered in decor and cleanliness. Furniture needs to be moved when hoovering. Was overpriced for what it was. UHT milk in a bottle, would prefer a fridge and fresh milk and for water to be cold. Also to store own refreshments in.

The location is perfect, right by the beach. Nice bar and terrace. Staff very pleasant. On site car park at no charge. Excellent breakfast options. Nicely presented and very tasty. Nice toiletries. Good size bath and pressure of hot water.

The fact that the dining room was closed for dinner and that I don't remember being told. I was travelling alone and had booked the hotel for that reason. It was then necessary as a single person to go in search of food in the evening......not fun and I'm not a pizza eater.

Was surprised that the dining was closed in the evening, and residents had to use the pub next to the hotel, or go elsewhere . Very disappointed so we went to other hotels/Restaurant's .

Not told the hotel restaurant was closed except for breakfast. Seem to have done away with hotel staples like afternoon tea, scones etc. some long term casual visitors we met were a bit dumbfounded by that after coming for years. Admittedly the Mariners gastro pub is next door serving the usual stuff but there’s nothing on the website to that effect. The sense we got was changes had been made with more to come after this season. I would suggest some of the missing things are reinstated. See comment about easy chairs.

The location is great with lovely outlook, near grass, fines and beach. Not too busy although public parking nearby shared vehicle access. Rooms good and of a period, ours (107) was a little compact despite the great sea view but we were on a short stay so no great problem, except a double room should surely have 2 easy chairs especially in a ‘with view’ room, although something would have to go to fit it in. Staff very good, helpful and pleasant.
