Was literally up a dirt track ... Unmade road.

Location was amazing. Off the beaten track. Quiet and safe. All facilities you'd need and not too far from local convenience by car.

Bed is a little tight for a double. The shower does not drain partially well. Little smaller than I anticipated.

Very private, located in farm land but not too remote. Good parking, hot water. Kitchen had all that I needed and as described. Would come back if the price is reasonable.

Only issue for us was assumed tea bags and milk would be available. Normally any self catering cottage I’ve visited there are tea bags. After a 7 hour drive we needed a brew. Trays for the oven or even foil Would have been good too as we couldn’t cook

Lovely view of the valleys, calm and restful. Owner nice and helpful. Tv and wifi

Hmmmm, not much to complain about. Thanks to Google Maps we arrived at the property from the wrong way and ended driving down a long farm track, through a ruin and what felt like someones garden. It felt sketchy and we worried about getting stuck, but it all worked out in the end.

The location was awesome, but we didn't see as much of it as we could have due to arriving in the dark and then leaving just after 9am. We loved the fact that there was a wee Christmas Tree waiting for our arrival, what a lovely touch, thank you.

Main bathroom was very small, as an adult when sat on the toilet, your leg would touch a freezing cold shower unit. Also the tap in the bathroom was unusable, when turned on it would splash everywhere so difficult to wash face and brush teeth.

Great location, good value for money. Well equipped kitchen.

Instructions to find the cottage were really confusing. Just follow lower Lamphey road to the car park at the top. Just before the little dirt road, not entering the car park, look left, the first house is the carthouse cottage.

Clean little cottage in a lovely area

Just a small point - the door to the main bedroom stuck closed when I was in the room, during the night. I was unable to open it and had to shout to wake my son in the other bedroom to help - could have been tricky had I been there alone. We also had the company of a bat for two days! Not sure if it lived there permanently and we thought it quite sweet when it stopped swooping around but would probably have preferred it wasn't there...we realise this is something to be expected in such a rural location.

We love the location and the accommodation is nice and spacious, esp downstairs. The beds are very comfortable. There is a very relaxed feeling about the whole place and lovely that they are so welcoming if you have a dog. Very useful to be able to park right outside your cottage.

All minor things really. Access out on to main road is difficult to see - easily improved with some hedge trimming. Looking a little tired in places but there looks improvements are in process.

The house had a lot of cobwebs which had clearly been there a long time. A vacuum would have been great. But I went round with a dustpan and brush which helped. The TV was smaller than we would have liked.

The hosts seemed very welcoming friendly without being intrusive. The location was great, being just a few minutes from the places we wanted to visit I.e Tenby, Saundersfoot and Barafundel. Though a bit antiquated we had all the facilities we needed I.e WiFi, tv, cooker, fridge, freezer, shower, towels. There was also a small patio to sit out.

A little tired, could do with a bit of a spruce up. Although mostly clean, it was dusty/cobwebs behind the sofa. Food items left in the freezer.

The host Jon met us and was very friendly. The view was absolutely beautiful and a lovely walled garden to walk around. Comfortable rooms and clean bed linen.

The place was generally tired. Stained carpet on upstairs landing, mouldy shower curtain and around bath. Although kitchen was well equipped would not use toaster/oven. Old and grubby as were the baking trays. TV in lounge was tiny and in a large room difficult to see. Few little improvements could make a massive difference to the property and comfort of stay.

Location and surroundings were nice. The walled garden and outside areas were pleasant. Beds were comfortable. Nice period features and interesting building. We were in the Bake House
