Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

New ZealandOur room was 7 flights of stairs up, so you wouldn't want to be carrying a big suitcase. Room was very hot even with fan going.
Easy walk from Earls Court train station and we walked into London central from there. Quite a few food choices nearby. Handy having MW to heat up food.

AustraliaIt is a small room. And I'd recommend asking for a room on the first few floors.
Great location. Only a short walk to Earl's Court Underground Station and plenty of cafes. The bed was comfortable.

A good place to stay. 20 minutes walk to the museums. A simple kitchen in a cupboard. Small but very clean ensuite.

KazakhstanThe room was very small with little space to move even for one person. The bathroom is also small, with very little space in front of the toilet for your legs. There were so many stairs leading to my room on the third floor, which made it a bit difficult for me, as I had a little problem with my knee at that time.
My room had all the basic amenities needed, including an air conditioner, which was very much needed as it was quite hot outside.

United KingdomThe shower wasn’t great - poor water pressure and either cold or scalding hot temperature but is definitely fine enough for a one night stay and just a quick freshen up. Bedside lights didn’t work but again, not a big deal and could have just been our room. Adding a mirror to the room would have made a nice touch, but there was one in the hallway.
Easy to find and in a perfect location - just a 5 minute walk from the underground station with good connections to central London. It was good value for money even on a weekend with big events in London and had pretty much all the basics you needed. Very clean room, good WiFi and was very quiet. We didnt use the facilities but our room did come equipped with a kettle, microwave, toaster and also a fridge.

AustraliaI had to leave.
This was a great stay. I arrived early and they still let me check in. The Room itself was very clean, with a little kitchenette and a great bathroom. The (Moldovan) staff were very helpful and went out of their way to assist me. All in all a great experience. Location wise it's fantastic, walk one way you hit Earls court with all it's transport links , though that area doesn't off anything in terms of a cultural British experience. Walk another way, you're on Kensington High Street and quick access to Hyde Park. There's a Sainsbury a short walk which is handy when you have the kitchenette so think about spending a little extra on your accom, because you can save if you don't eat out every meal. There's a Santander bike station just outside the Hotel so you can cycle all over the capital, about 15/20 minutes up to Oxford Street and or the Palace etc. Sum it up , it's a great spot. Thanks team. Loved my stay.

United StatesThis was almost literally a cupboard under the stairs. They warned me it was "between floors 2 and 3." Tiny 7' by 8' room, plus tiny WC with shower.
Location wasn't bad. The price was good for London. Had air conditioning. Included microwave and tea maker.

AustraliaI didn't find any negatives about this property, it even had air con which seems to be a rarity in the UK.
Rooms are really well kept, clean, wifi is great , TV and having a little kitchen is really helpful when you get tired of eating out and just want to have breakfast in bed. Great location handing to underground and reasonable walking distance to centre if you're legs are up for it.

United KingdomIt was a little worn but was good value.
Our room was clean, quiet and the location was convenient. The staff went out of its way to allocate us a ground floor room, which was much appreciated. The room was small but perfectly adequate for a short stay and although a bit basic, had everything we needed.
