Great location near to town centre and railway station. Room well appointed and not too noisy, despite being above a pub. Good breakfast with plenty of choice. Some roadworks going on outside the pub during my stay, but these didn't affect my enjoyment.

No negatives. But if you book bare in mind, there might not be enough parking slots . Bed comfort is personal to you.

The friendly greeting when booking in. All the staff were superb. Very helpful. The rooms very clean and comfortable. The food was delicious especially breakfast. The pub quirky and a fab out door seating area. The pub was just a short walk from the main square and a 10 minute walk from the Castle.

Room was on second floor and got hot at night. Did have a fan but it was still a bit hot for us. No air con due to the age of the building and I did know this before booking so not really a complaint just what I found difficult to manage. Bathroom was tiny but we did manage. Room had everything we needed and was to a good standard.

Location was amazing, 2 minute walk to market place and booked parking at Sainsbury's which was almost next door and very reasonable for 3 days. All staff were lovely and welcoming. Breakfast was of a good standard and was organised well. Had dinner at pub on the first night which was lovely and good value. Lovely beer garden to rear with plenty of seating. I thought it was great value for money to stay so close to the town and over a bankholiday. We also didn't find noise was an issue and slept well.

Not a dislike, but parking onside is v limited,but you can park in Sainsburys carpark for 24jrs for £6 - which staff reimburse

Quirky old coaching post, olde world English heritage mixed with Latin American food and hospitality. Great little gem - would definitely retun!

Mike was so helpful, we arrived really late and he left the key for us so we could make ourselves at home. We had a beautiful room with a 4 poster bed, really lovely and comfy. Breakfast so really good too.

The parking was tricky to negotiate. Very tight. And the stairs up to the room were very steep and curving so challenging for someone in their mid eighties.

Everything! Great location, easy to find. Beautiful decor throughout. The restaurant and outdoor seating areas are very pretty. Everywhere was very clean and well-maintained. The food was amazing. Very tasty, filling and reasonably priced. The staff were all very helpful and friendly, as were the locals!

Good location for the town and castle, only a short walk to both. Very friendly and helpful staff. We also ate in the tapas restaurant inside the King's Head, food was excellent and good value.
