Return visit to a well equipped and comfortable hotel conveniently located for our purposes

Not much, although we always seem to end up in a room which involves a long walk from reception. The resturant menu is a bit limited, but this was not a big issue as we had huge breakfasts, and then did most of our eating in Edinburgh.

Room comfortable with plenty of storage for clothes. The rest of the hotel is very pleasant and there are nice grounds outside. The breakfast generally very good, except for one day when coffee was decidely cold. The pool is fairly good, but we did not make as much use of it as we have on previous visits. Short drive into Dunfirmline itself, and easy to drive into Edinburgh (if you are daft enough to try), or to the station to get a train in. We've visited a couple of times before, and probably will again

Very pricy, I know it is the busy time of the year, but still thought it is high priced. Still had to pay 10-15 pounds for transportation to town.

Rooms were nice and in a country location, away from city noise. Meals were good too.

The decor and building was starting to show its age in places and the room was very warm

The staff gave an exceptionally warm welcome, the room was a really generous size. There was plenty of free onsite parking and there was also one 7kw electric charger available and it was free to use.

A lot of minor maintenance is needed. If a bit money was spent on fixing a few things i wouldnt hesitate to give 5 stars.

Spacious room, large comfortable bed, friendly staff, good parking, large garden, great breakfast.

Rooms were a little too hot for our liking so we were struggling to sleep and the bar was a bit outdated , cider tap was giving out water . I got served a pink gin and lemonade and the lemonade came out of a jug. Would have preferred option of a can if draught is not available

Breakfast was good, constantly getting topped up so nothing really ran out. Good selection of cereals fruits and croissants also. We had a great time in Dunfermline town centre , plenty places for foods and drinks

The room was just the right size , so you could put our belongings in areas where you wouldn't fall over them or keep moving them . The bed was very comfortable and room was cleaning to an high standard daily. Breakfast was excellent , my only disappointment was there wasn't any porridge. The evening menu choices were just about right.

Adequate, but let down by lowered standards of food.

Breakfast was the usual selection for hot food, nothing spectacular or different. Bacon was "labelled as grilled", but was sitting in a layer of liquid. Obviously, all cooked in one layer in the oven & then straight out to be served, was all wet with raw fat. Fried eggs were overcooked, yorks hard and whites falling apart. Porridge is in the same bain-marie as beans, this will surely change the smell and maybe even the flavour. Is Porridge was a Scottish staple for breakfast, a national dish? No personal touches, level of service was similar to a Premier Inn and even had to go and ask for tea and coffee for the table. Overall drab and nothing special, we expected more; standards have lowered. Such a Pity. Also did not like having to leave the hotel to visit the leisure centre, not very good if it is inclement weather. Would have thought there would be a covered walkway at the very least. Apparently, there are "swimming lessons" in the pool on a Sunday morning. Admirable offering this to local children but, should this not be made clear when booking and on your webpage. We therefore declined using the pool.

The few staff we encountered were very friendly and helpful. Our room was large and clean, with comfortable beds.
