It was good to receive such a warm welcome. We were very pleased with our room which was a good size & very comfortable. We enjoyed our breakfast selection & also the excellent dinner menu.

The hot water ran out whilst showering in the morning which may have been caused by the demand. Maybe we should have got up earlier 🙄 Not sure about dogs in the restaurant at breakfast but just minor details.

Location and general feel/friendly welcome. Hotel is in good condition being recently refurbished. The quality of the food is high and I recommend staying while enjoying the Island.

Had to leave bikes outside uncovered or secured.

Evening meal in the restaurant was excellent. Good menu with locally sourced produce. Good breakfast with varied menu. The location overlooking the water is fabulous. Friendly staff.

Struggled to avoid hitting head on attic-style ceiling in bedroom!

Very comfortable stay in a beautiful location. The breakfasts are excellent and if you are early enough you can see the chickens being fed as the fresh eggs are collected. We had a small double with sea view and the room was small but comfortable, toiletries in the bathroom, and full tea making facilities. Didn't try the TV as watching the boats sail past was much more relaxing. Dinner portions are large and the food phenomenal, great service from the staff and owners. Recommend reserving a table as options are limited in the area and Kames hotel is very popular. There are a lot of walks and cycle routes to explore and you can hire bicycles from the hotel. Swimming at the tank landing, fishing from the pier, walking to the old lighthouse past the castle ruins, lots to explore!

    N/a!

The location and a room with a view to die for. Very dog friendly which is handy when you have a needy dog. Quality meals. Gorgeous hens.!

We had a big dog with us and our room was a little small but we would still book it again.

Fabulous views from the hotel of the Kyles of Bute. Great breakfast selection and the generous proportions set us up nicely for each day. The dinner menu had a nice variety of dishes, and our tasty meals were served promptly. The hens in the hotel garden entertained us at breakfast time.
