Staff, especially on reception and restaurant, we're exceptional. The hotel has old world charm but with modern touches.

The hotel was lovely, in a great location. Very peaceful and the staff were all fabulous. Food in the bar and restaurant was good too.

Thomas upgraded us to the apartment for our anniversary and we came into the stunning room with a lovely handwritten note and chocolate fudge - beautiful touch! We adored the venue and the rooftop terrace coffee in the morning.

United StatesStairs to the suite! We'd just got off a long haul flight, with weeks' worth of luggage. And really, this is a suggestion, but a bottle opener in the room would be extremely helpful since the bar sells bottled soft drinks, and the mini fridge has them too.
Location, staff, food, and suite were great. An emphasis on locally sourced, quality food. Beautiful walks around the hotel, whether you want a stroll or a hike.

United KingdomIt really felt like all the attention of the staff was on the restaurant and not the hotel, as every time assistance or request was made, it took a long time to get anyone to attend or answer and it seemed like an imposition. Although the food was delicious, the portion sizes were very small for the price!
Really lovely hotel and very comfortable room. The room was spotless and well furnished and the location of the hotel is great with access to Jesmond Dene just a couple of minutes from the door. Quiet at night and very peaceful and relaxing!

In his case beautifully cooked French Toast in my case a really poor selection of options most already consumed and no attempt to replenish. I found a better selection at the Channel Tunnel on the way home.

United KingdomThe Tv was small for the size of the room, and smart functions on the TV weren't working, which is a bit annoying . And the pillows were too soft and wasn't any extra pillows there either.
Staff was very helpful they upgraded us to the deluxe room when I only booked classic double. I told them it's my husband s birthday next week, so they even put Happy Birthday on the plate with macroon.

United KingdomI believe there was a pool as we found robes but a bit of a distance away and that wasn’t made clear. There wasn’t a great menu choice in the bar where a few more options would have been nice and maybe a little costly for the portion size. There were a few children in when we went and lacking much choice for them.
Staff were friendly. We were given a room upgrade for our anniversary and had a welcoming card and chocolates. The room was nice with added features and a pleasant view in pleasant surroundings. The bed was very comfortable. The bar and lounge were pleasant and enjoyed breakfast in the orangery. Breakfast choice and quality were excellent
