Nothing much! There is only parking for 1 car as described. Not a problem as we only had 1 car. There's nowhere else nearby to leave a 2nd vehicle without blocking the narrow private road the property is on.

Great communication from the off, prompt comprehensive and very clear, we had a good idea of exactly what to expect in practical terms. Spotlessly clean. All the expected facilities were present and functional. Super location with great views ably assisted by some amazing weather

We couldn't get the big TV in Lounge to work but the owner John was very quick to respond and helpfully got someone to look at it ASAP.

Great location with an exceptional view of Loch Goil, especially from the sun room porch. Well appointed and spacious for a 2 bedroom / 2 bathroom cottage.

the weather wasn't great but this didn't take away from our experience

everything!! the house, the welcome. it was warm and cosy. beds were comfy. well equipped kitchen. we knew we would be "out of the way" so made sure we had everything we needed with us. planning ahead is essential as there are no supermarkets nearby. there is a little shop in the village and another in the holiday complex around the head of the loch. we loved it!!

    Little to dislike.

Superb location over looking Lochgoil and surrounding hills. Very quiet and relaxing. The cottage was very comfortable and well equipped. We did enjoy sitting in the garden and lighting the log burner in the evening.

Incredibly beautiful location overlooking the loch. Cottage has everything you need. The sunroom has excellent views and it’s a great spot for weather watching or just sitting and gazing. So peaceful and calm.

The way to other destinations a bit difficult because of the single tracks. I had to improve my driver abilities.

Cottage was well equipped and heating was verry good to adjust. A very quiet place to relax.

Minor things and really easy to fix: The fridge was a bit smelly where it had been switched off but things left in there, and the air freshener in the hall was really overpowering so we put it in the garden after the first day - the place smells far better without. We laid a fire one evening (all wood and firelighters generously supplied) but then couldn't find matches which was just a bit frustrating after the only shop had shut.

Beautiful quiet area with amazing view of the loch. Shower in the ensuite was fabulous and great to have two bathrooms. Sitting in the garden room is the highlight and a nice touch to supply some nuts for the squirrels.

The only thing that let the cottage down was cleanliness. It wasn't terrible, but we did do some cleaning on arrival to feel comfortable. The showers had mold in (thankfully we brought some mold and mildew spray which made the main shower better). And a better general clean down would be good. There was dirt on the leather sofa (which we saw both on the sofa and on the wipes we used to clean it down), and the drinks coasters had brown stains on, for example. The washing up brush was a discoloured and we didn't want to use it. The house could also do with a bit of love, a few rusty old radiators could be replaced for example.

The view from the cottage and the garden were beautiful. Such a quiet and peaceful location that you can properly relax in. The small sun room was perfect when cold or wet, and to see the red squirrel. We put out nuts and it came by around 8am several times. The cottage is well equipped and the beds are comfy. There is a good size parking space. There is a small post office and shop in the village with basic essentials. It takes cash only, but you can take cash out at the post office (when it's open)

We arrived on a dark, rainy night to a warm & cosy cottage. The cottage is very clean & very well equipped, it had everything we needed. Instructions for the heating, tv etc was provided along with information on the locality. Len provided very thorough advice for our visit and very quick to respond to any queries we had. We hope to return to Ivybank.
