We were put into a twin room after specifically being promised a double. However as it was our honeymoon night the staff very quickly moved us into a lovely double room with a much better view.

Lovely rooms although a little in need of some TLC in places. Good location and lovely helpful staff.

The bed and breakfast rate entitles you to one dish pp ordered specially - which takes a little while. Full English or another cooked variation. No buffet in the breakfast room apart from juices and filter coffee. A full English includes one piece of sourdough toast. Additional toast costs just over £3 per slice. Special coffees are also charged separately at full rate (just under £4 each). Just be aware that paying the bed and breakfast rate is not the end of the story although the food is nice. And flushing the loo in the en-suite is not easy although the shower arrangement in the accessible bathroom is wonderful.

V conveniently placed on the road from London. Ample parking. Nice large accessible room on ground floor at our request given some disability and with a great shower heating and tv. Charming wait and reception staff. Good steak and cocktail offer for our evening meal and our breakfast was nicely cooked.

On arrival in car park needed to lug suitcase down stone steps. At reception was told to go down more steps to the bar to check in. The guy behind the bar was busy making cocktails and serving drinks. After about 10 minutes he finally acknowledged us. I explained we had already checked in online so he just handed us the key - took abour 10 seconds. He then said the room is on 2nd floor, so had to take heavy suitcase back up pasr reception where we had started, then through a door - which we walked straight past as it was not marked aa entrance to guest rooms or anything. Then up another steep flight of stairs to a landing then further steps up to the room My wife and I are in our 70's so to be honesr it was quite a trial after a 150 mile drive A bit od assistance would have been appreciated.

The family room didn’t have a window , only a skylight, so it was a bit dark The room was hot but the hotel had thoughtfully left a fan in the room

This hotel/restaurant is out of the main centre of Brighton, which we had wanted. Staff friendly and room clean and comfortable. Large carpark and on direct bus route to Brighton town centre.

When i booked, i had to change the date which increased the price. I was told on the phone that the original price would be honoured when i checked in but this was denied unfortunately. The evening meal was not worth the money. I know its a steak house but the vegetarian choice was very limited and just a burger or a salad. The salad was advertised as squash salad but it looked more like a slice of marrow. It was okay but definitely over priced imo. The waitress was excellent though Breakfast was poor quality. One meagre piece of toast with the vegetarian breakfast (i sound like im whinging but really it was poor) Looked like it had been re-heated up, and a small portion for a breakfast. No cereal at all. Tea and juices good.

Hotel was clean, Good parking area, The staff were polite and friendly. Special thanks to the nice lady working the breakfast shift who found my lost house keys which i really appreciated. Waitress in the restaurant during the evening meal was excellent too.

Would not want to stay for more than one night. There is just a rail and shelves for clothes. No matter how we moved the small shower door, the shower leaked onto the floor. The lamp on one side of the bed was not working.

Our room was a little noisey, could hear what sounded like a generator next door all night . But not a big issue as I had earplugs .

The room was dark looked out on to concrete wall very noisy extractor fan from kitchens and the smell filled the room when windows open , shower room was mould around shower base and the drains had a nasty smell bed was a king size but was two double beds pushed together and no very comfortable . Noisy bin collections and delivery’s early morning which woke us up.

The carpets need revamps , you can now clearly see that deep cleaning is necessary. The chair in our room was seriously marked with water patch. This is the third time coming to this hotel and was a bit disappointed with this aspect . Also the housekeeper didn’t touch the bed for the first few days other than emptying the rubbish . The last day was fine as we asked for the bed to be cleaned . This hotel is a great option sorting this out will make it perfect for future guess .

We stayed for two nights and couldn’t be happier with our experience. The location was perfect for exploring the area, and the accommodation was clean, comfortable, and well-maintained. The staff were warm, welcoming, and always happy to help. Overall, a wonderful stay and we’d happily return!

The sofa bed for the children could have been more comfortable

Very functional for a family of 4 with 2 children. Not overly priced. The steakhouse is right there and the children’s menu was very appropriate with many good selections. Staffs very very helpful and friendly.
