Parking….. As it’s very central the parking is 10 mins walk up through the town.

It was perfect for a 60th celebration with friends - the staff were incredibly friendly and responsive and made our stay as we were treated like VIPs. The food in The Forge was delicious and the bar staff were great too. Highly recommend for a city break to Chester or for a race day!

The menu was a bit confusing and I would have liked it to have been a bit more simplistic but that is just my personal taste. I’m not keen on steak but they did cook it to perfection.

All of it, very stylish decor. I marked it down a bit on comfort as the bed was very hard.

The beds in the accessible room were too high. My 90 year old dad could not get on or off the bed without help. This was such a shame when everything else in the room was perfect for my Dad.

What is their not to like about this property, stunning location, beautiful decor, the room was amazing and not to mention you will have the comfiest sleep in your life. We were treated in our room with complimentary desserts and a fridge full of drinks and snacks.

Not having its own car park but there is one nearby for a reasonable price.

The bed dipped a little in the middle, but not too much to stop me sleeping well.

Great location near the centre. Clean and well stocked rooms with quirky touches. Good shower. Complimentary soft drinks in the minibar were a bonus.

Room on this occasion was at the back of the hotel. Bedroom window was frosted making it impossible to see anything outside. Shower was scorching hot and impossible to stand under despite turning every tap on the shower unit. We reported this, which was rectified on the second night. I have stayed at this hotel on 4 occasions, but unfortunately, on this occasion the experience didn't match up to previous visits.

A very nice hotel with nice rooms, wonderful staff and great food. Chester is easy to walk around, though check where you are going to park if you have heavy luggage.

The room was hot even after turning the thermostat down as low as possible. Windows do not open and a very thick duvet. Great shame as everything else was perfect.

The staff were extremely friendly and helpful. Excellent welcome and first class service from every single one. Great decor, good food, no problems with wanting a drink from the bar at any time of day or night.

If I have to be uber critical, then I would say that the twin bed was slightly odd. Although it was big enough the shape made us both feel like we could fall off the bed (which we didn't :) )

By far the best feature of this trip was the staff. They were incredibly friendly. The staff at the breakfast service looked after us like were the King and Queen. We were so impressed by their friendliness and enthusiasm.

The reception area and bedrooms were on the small size, although this is consistent with a boutique hotel.

The hotel was very clean and it was well located. Parking was nearby and did not pose a difficulty. The staff are professional and pleasant.
