The bed was a bit tight to get in and out of and the mattress was too firm for us, the bed was our only discomfort so didn’t feel very refreshed after our stay.

Great location, great decor, fab eco products for our use and lots of extras like milk in fridge and tea/coffee etc Near the beach and 2 pubs in walking distance The host was fantastic and gave lots of information on local facilities also lots of extra beach essentials available at property which was amazing 🤩

Fantastic cottage. Great location, easy drive to Whitby to pick up the park and ride. Visited many places on our stay, including Staithes, Sandsend, and a beautiful drive on the Moors. The cottage has everything you need. The attention to detail is superb. Little touches like a multi charger, coffee, milk, biscuits, and pretzels 👍 We couldn't have asked for more. The local pub, a one minute walk away, was also amazing. Highly recommend.

This was a beautiful, welcoming and well maintained property with a delightful garden and fabulous deep bath. The owners have clearly put considerable effort into making this a perfect place to escape for rest and relaxation! A great selection of scenic footpaths to explore by day and games, books and Netflix for the evenings. Plus two lovely pubs nearby, we had a great time.

For me it was the garden that put the icing on the cake. It was beautiful and the summer house and fire pit meant we could spend the majority of our time outside. We were blessed with wonderful weather when we stayed so the outside space was delightful. The house was also lovely and very well equipped. The bed was comfy too.

On arrival we had a lovely surprise awaiting us , courtesy of Spasm the dog butler . The owner Susan knew it was our anniversary and left a bottle of Prosecco in the capable hand of Spasm . The property itself has been very thoughtfully and tastefully decorated, it’s also well appointed with all the amenities you need . We especially liked the summer house in the garden which is another escape in itself and really private

Couldn’t fault a thing

Comfortable, beautiful and spotlessly clean. All the extra touches didn’t go unnoticed and made our stay extra special. There was everything we could need which as a family travelling with young children meant a lot. We would ( and already have) recommend to anyone. Thanks for a fantastic weekend away

The parking is very tight. We parked on the main road most of the time as it was just easier when all the neighbours cars were parked too. It wasn’t a problem but could perhaps be mentioned in the information.

Had an amazing few days at the cottage. Great location for us as we were attending a wedding in Whitby. Property had so many facilities and we certainly made the most of the garden and summer house with the weather. All the little touches Susan put into the property made the stay so much more special.

Nothing it was great!

We loved our stay and Idelwild! This place has everything you ever imagine needing and more. So many thoughtful things provided. We found the location to be great for exploring Staithes and Whitby etc with the bus stop being very close and lots of amazing walks right from the doorstep.
