Dear Anne, Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. We are, of course, disappointed to read that your stay did not meet your expectations. We would like to clarify a few points. You stayed with us for five nights without raising any concerns with our Reception team. Our team is available 24/7, and had we been made aware of any issues, we would have been more than happy to address them immediately or even offer an alternative room. At check-out, when we attempted to discuss your concerns further, you declined to speak with a manager. Regarding cleanliness, we take these matters very seriously, and we are truly sorry that some issues were present in your room. These became apparent only once the bedding was pulled apart, which is why they had not been noticed earlier, but we fully agree they should not have been there in the first place. Please accept our sincere apologies that this aspect of your stay did not meet the high standards we aim to deliver. We also note that you enjoyed a complimentary bottle of Prosecco on arrival as a gesture for your birthday, and we are sorry this did not help to make your stay more memorable. As you will appreciate, rates during the Edinburgh Festival are at a premium across the city, and our prices remain competitive for the season and location. We regret that your experience left you feeling dissatisfied, but we do hope you will allow us the opportunity to restore your confidence in us on a future visit.
