Lovely site, but let down by the accomodation

The shepherds hut had a very uncomfortable bed, it's futon mattress was worn through and sadly provided no cushioning to the wooden base, so it was like sleeping on solid wood. It also wasn't that clean, including the cutlery and shelves and the dining table.

Lovely, quiet site, clean large bathrooms, and a great host who was really helpful. Sadly this was let down by the shepherds hut itself.

This is really more on observation than a complaint, so the thing I really missed was the ability to make a cup of tea when I arrived. as there were no additional things like tea coffee milk to me, it just seems that really it was just a hut in the field and the owners hadn't really paid any attention to the finer details, those of which i do get from loads of other similar properties, some logs included in the price and a microwave.would be better. It was lacking but still a great place ,I would recommend it, no hesitation.

Obviously, the location is lovely, and the log fire adds warmth, and the bathroom facilities were great, well located for my trip into High Wycombe.

Unfortunately, the futon mattress was extremely uncomfortable and I had to bring my own camping mat in order to be able to sleep well the next night. I paid extra to order the bedding and I thought towels, but they was only a tea towel duvet cover, pillowcases, and sheet, no towels.

Great location wonderful countryside beautiful views when the Sun is shining.

Not clean, and wasn’t offered compensation of any sort to make up for this. Also not comfy. Utensils missing. (Shepherd Hut)

Pretty farm, though small. Not much to see, but that’s not the reason you stay somewhere ‘remote’ like this. Concept is really sweet, in theory. Can cook on the BBQ fire.

For the price that we paid (which was more than staying in a hotel) I was expecting some details like coffee, sugar and tea in the hut, something that I believe it's basic. We had to bring our own bedding and towels, otherwise you have to pay more. The bed wasn't very comfortable, the mattress was thin and hard. There weren't enough showers or toilets for everyone so there were people lining outside. They weren't very clean and in not very good condition either. When we arrived at the farm, we found out that there were people using our picnic table and bbq, and our trash big was full with their rubbish. They also took our deckchairs ( we were not aware that we were meant to have deckchairs until this family left and they returned them, but it was already too late as we were checking out). This could've been avoided if there was someone from the farm controlling a bit the space, or if we had known that we were meant to have two chairs, we could have asked for them. This wasn't pleasant at all. We have stayed glamping and camping in other places that were cheaper and way better than this. We will not return.

The views are quite nice. We stayed in the hut which is also cute. We didn't have any issue with the check in, we didn't see anyone from the farm or staff members. The location is convenient, as there are some pubs and shops nearby if you need to buy something quickly.

It was dirty, bugs in the bed (I took video!), urine-stained thin ‘mattress’, dirty blanket, no pillows, it had not been cleaned. Plus, a blitzkrieg of annoying emails from the owner, in unreadable tiny text (11 emails!!!).

    the wood burner is great

Beautiful little hut and outstanding area too. Despite the fact it snowed all night, the hut was so warm and toasty! The owners were more than obliged to help us out too. I recommend this place and the chickens roaming in their pen was a nice touch!

The most uncomfortable night ever on a grubby looking flock mattress. Booked late so arrived less than an hour later. No sheets pillows or blankets ...you have to bring your own. luckily I had two fleeces in the car. slept fully dressed . Poor show for £89 .a night. Floor rug has dog hairs and overall a bit grubby. No WiFi .

    could park on site free.

There was nothing we didn't like, however a few extra facilities in the hut would be handy, a small sandwich toaster or just a toaster. The bed wasn't the most comfortable, so maybe a mattress topper aswell.

It was perfect for exploring the local area with our fur babies

would have been great if someone could have stopped it raining, or opened the nearest pub :) . But this did make it more cosy. I would imagine if it is busy the facilities could be a problem when the site is very busy!

the location and ease of access to the site. had basic cooking equipment which could be used with the stove lit or the firepit, depending on weather. i was able to have logs supplies and all stuff needed was available

The mattress in the shepherds hut was just disgraceful. Very uncomfortable. Luckily we had a dreamboat mattress with us, which we put on top of what was provided. There were no plates or bowls in the shepherds hut and hardly any cutlery etc. Showers and toilets are very old and tired and didn’t feel very clean. Only three toilets and showers for the WHOLE site didn’t feel sufficient. Found it very difficult to find anywhere to recycle waste so in the end we had to give up. Didn’t see any staff. No one checked in to see if we were ok or needed anything. Some little touches could make this campsite so much better. Sorry.

Lovely views from the glamping field. Parking nearby.

Not really any other option but you do have to walk a short distance to the toilet/shower, shared with the campsite - pretty good facilities though compared to some campsites I have been to.

A real step back from the humdrum of everyday life. The hut is so full of character. We loved it. Compact and cosy - especially on a windy snowy night with the log stove lit. Andy was really helpful with all communications.

No hot water in the hut or the toilet areas. No heating in the toilets either. For the amount paid to stay we felt a basket of wood would have been supplied for the wood burner. We also felt it could benefit from a single stove and toaster to be able to make basic meals.

Beautiful location with lovely views. Nice and warm inside. The property felt cozy.

The entrance to the hut was facing the main gate so it didn’t feel very private and also it felt too close to the road and the car park.

The hut was very cute and cosy. Towels, bedsheets and a tea towel were provided. Beautiful view .
