There wasn't much I didn't like but as with many other hotels the room could have done with one of those fold away suitcase racks. The only option was the bed or the floor. More choice of non alcoholic drinks in the bar.

The room though slightly on the small size was clean and the bed was comfy. Plenty of car parking. Pleasant location surrounded by fields. Excellent staff. The food in the restaurant was good and not expensive. Breakfast was good but could have done with a choice of fruit juices not everyone likes orange juice. The bar had extensive choice of wines, spirits, beers and lagers but was a bit light on non alcoholic drinks. Would definately go there again.

Bar closing at 9pm, no weekend breakfast until after 8.30am (we left at 7am) although we were provide with sandwich, crisps,fruit in lieu of a cooked breakfast. Noisy neighbours who arrived at 2.10 am, but stood chatting in the corridor for 10 minutes.

Staff were excellent, dinner was very good, wide choice and well presented.

Without a doubt, one of the friendliest and most welcoming places we've ever stayed. Room was petit but spotless with an immaculate bathroom (and big shower!). Beer was well priced (not seven pounds a pint like a certain nearby conference hotel!), and the food was excellent. We left too early in the morning for breakfast but our delightful hosts made us both a packed lunch to take with us. There aren't many gems like this left anymore. Next time we're down there we know where we'll be stopping!

Breakfast is good and the menu in the restaurant is really varied. All the staff are super friendly and the location is very peaceful with a good car-park. The place has a really good atmosphere.

Omg. I actually love this place. I stay here whenever I’m in the area. It’s out of the way. Rooms are comfortable. Food is good old family food. The staff are so welcoming and very down to earth. I can’t wait to stay again

Stuffy overnight as it was hot and hard to keep the window open because of the motorway. But if it isn't too warm outside, this pub is awesome

The bed was comfortable and the room was pleasant. A massive thank you to the staff and chef for accommodating my gluten free diet; it was so much appreciated. Very helpful and cheerful staff! PS: I loved the cat!
