How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

Room was a bit small but perfectly adequate for one night.
Comfortable room but a bit small. I didn't have dinner there but the menu looked very good. Clean. Friendly staff.

I really can't think of anything.
The staff were exceptional, nothing too much The room was lovely and spacious with everything you could need. The resurant was serving great selection of food beautifully cooked. Breakfast had a great selection.

Was a few stains on the carpark and quite a few dead flies on the window cill in the breakfast room which was slightly off-putting to see when eating.
Booked for the night of our wedding and was a bottle of prosecco left on ice in our room which was lovely.

Although the bathroom/shower area was spacious, the room itself was small. Bed and table alongside wardrobe and tea/coffee area all fit snugly, not much room to walk around. I would imagine great in the winter, however was peak of summer and only 1 window slightly being able to open made the room way too hot. There was a fan in the room, just wasn’t curing the immense heat and made it unfortunately, uncomfortable. Still rated the overeat experience of the stay as very good.
We stayed the day/evening as attending a wedding nearby. The hotel is a charming little property with lovely garden and terrace area. A good selection of drinks options, clean and tidy room with spacious bathroom/shower area.

The fillet steak on the specials menu wasn't available. Disappointing, as this was my first choice.
The room and facilities in it were really good. The dinner menu had a really nice selection. Breakfast was excellent.

Everything at Himley was more than what I expected! The staff were extremely helpful and friendly! Breakfast was very good! The beds were very comfortable and we were provided with a baby cot too which made every one of us sleep comfortably!

Excellent hotel, with a great room. A good sized room and bed which was also very clean. The breakfast was great with lots of good choices to suit all tastes. The main food menu was also very good and so was the quality of the food. This hotel is definitely recommended.

Despite reserving table for dinner at 7.30pm. Going down for drinks at 7.00pm. Sitting at table at 7.25pm, ordering food at 7.35 only to be told there was at least a 45 min wait for food ( turned out to be 65 minutes) why, because I was told they had an a lot of unbooked roll ups who ordered before me. The supervisor seemed quite ok with the fact that people who just turn up have priority over hotel guests who had pre-booked and turned up on time.

Hotest weekend of year and third floor bedroom even with fan was unbearably hot. Window barely opened and that meant very noisy road added to lack of sleep. Also at our age carrying bags up that many stairs in the heat was testing. And going up and down even without luggage !

Can't think of a single thing.
Comfortable room and beautiful bathroom/shower, ample room to park the car, excellent breakfast, I wish I could have stayed an extra night.

Smoke alarm over mirror & plug so my heated hair brush kept setting it off. There was some road noise but the location was great.
Friendly check in welcome. The room decor was amazing and very clean.
