The only thing that couldn't be helped was the suite was extremely hot. The windows for safety reasons could only be opened a fraction. Cooler air couldn't flow into the rooms. An electric fan was provided, but it couldn't cool the rooms down. Sleeping was impossible.

Very nice, well-appointed accommodation. Beautiful grounds. Leisure facilities were very good.

Safe was faulty when we arrived,maintenance fixed problem only for the safe to break down again on day two of our stay.Just went without a safe for the remainder of our stay.

Leisure facilities were very good. Junior suite with lounge and kitchenette made stay very enjoyable.

Car parking. Spaces are far too narrow for modern quality cars. Remove on space from each parking area and allow another 300mm width per bay?

Bathroom very small impossible to have more than one person using it at a time ( cleaning teeth etc.. ) Pillows ridiculously soft. Gave us both a sore neck as we just ended up with them so flat it was like lying on the mattress without a pillow. Cleaner attended one day in our 3 night stay and was surprised the towels were not changed in that time.

No breakfast available, either continental to your room or brunch served at 10am (small limited menu) Weather was horrendous ( not hotel fault) but no taxi service available or shuttle bus. It’s not a long walk to centre, but battling wind and rain up and down that road in the dark is not fun.

The building itself is impressive, set in beautiful grounds. Didn’t use any of the facilities.

Such a lovely hotel we had a perfect stay. Our suite was very spacious and so nice. The spa area is lovely, gym well equipped for a hotel and the staff were so lovely.

Staff are friendly and professional, rooms are excellent, location is great for anyone visiting Royal Dee. Balmoral is a 10mins drive, Ballater is a great small town with loads of interesting history and good local restaurants and cafes.

I would of loved a traditional Scottish breakfast.

The location was outstanding with amazing views all around, very close to the wonderful Balmoral castle, and Ballater which is a lovely little town.

Bathroom grout dirty in shower in places. Toaster was not cleaned-pull out tray dirty. Overall the place was clean though but that’s all I would point out, everything else was amazing

Suit was quiet a distance up and down steps and corridors No cooked breakfast included in price and only available after 10am, was offered continental delivery to room at a time of my choose, but I do like a cooked breakfast when stay away from home and in this rating of hotel

Lack of formal outdoor space e.g. gardens and seating areas, but this is difficult as the resort is on a hill. Pillows were too soft! 😁

Lovely suite with all the facilities you need, staff were very friendly and helpful. The pool and leisure facilities were clean and well kept. Great location for exploring the Highlands.

Check in was too late, check out was too early, no time to use the pool. Breakfast was not included in the price which we were surprised at considering what we paid. The bar closed at 10pm!

The view from our suite was of the car park. We struggled to work the sofa bed and the legs were buckled. It was very basic facilities. Unfortunately it was not that great and could have done with some little touches such as dressing gowns and slippers but we understand it's now totally self catering. We had to keep our shoes on in the room as it was so cold. There are no restaurants open for breakfast. When we ordered the breakfast basket it was also very basic.

The hotel's location is very handy for events at Balmoral.
