Lovely, very thoughtful hosts. Breakfasts served in the room are fresh, plentiful and delicious, taking account of any dietary requirements. The location of the property is central to Whitby. Convenient parking. The property itself is gorgeous – a true period property with lovely private gardens and an immaculately furnished interior.

The property is beautiful as was my room. The decor and furnishings were very tasteful and everything was crisp and clean. The breakfast tray was a tasty delight every morning delivered by the ever cheerful and charming hosts. Highgate House is really well situated....an all round delight.

Gorgeous room in a lovely comfortable house. Quiet but close to everything we wanted in Whitby. Jonathon and Louise were excellent hosts, welcoming, warm and friendly. Their attention to detail was superb. As was the stunning breakfast!

First class accommodation, beautifully decorated/appointed rooms, spacious with great facilities and everything done to a very high standard. Impeccably clean and well maintained property Warm and friendly hosts, Jonathan and Louise made our stay that bit more special as they were always chatty and attentive. They take great pride in what they do and the service is excellent Delicious breakfast including fresh fruit, warm bacon rolls and pastries. Served on the terrace as the weather was glorious! Fantastic location as very close to the town centre This was our second visit and it was even better than the first. Thank you both we loved our stay at Highate House

This place is a true gem. The most beautiful rooms you can stay in with the most loveliest Jonathan and Louise who take care of this beautiful place. Rooms are so unique, very clean and the bed is very comfortable. Their served in bed breakfast is very delicious and it has a wide selection of foods for everyone with different tastes! Highgate house is located 2 min walk away from the beach which makes it even better. You can tell how much love and care is being put into this place and making sure that the guests feel welcome, that is something I appreciated the most. I recommend this place to everyone, whether it's a special occasion or just a weekend away. I am beyond grateful that I have had a chance to experience this gorgeous town in this beautiful Highgate house. Thank you Jonathan & Louse, I hope to see you very soon again!

Beautiful property with stunning interior which makes you feel special to be there. Breakfast was very tasty and is served to the room which was a nice touch. Johnathan and Louise are very attentive and thoughtful hosts.

The only criticism they had was the step at the front of the property was covered in bird poo, which wasn’t very nice

Booked for a birthday present, my friend said it was amazing the staff were really friendly the room was immaculate, the beds were comfy. It was absolutely amazing. Five star accommodation they will definitely be coming back.
