Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United KingdomThe differing levels between my bedroom and the bathroom. The Market Kitchen where I had breakfast was always overcrowded and a bit of a scrum although everyone was very polite about it. Altogether there seemed to be far too many people everywhere.
The welcome in reception, the room was clean and fresh, the view amazing, the range of dinning facilities fantastic and the food excellent. I would highly recommend the Travelling Duke restaurant, less crowded, the service was excellent in which ever restaurant you decided to eat.

United Kingdom1. Parking was often full in the car park and so the only place was in the field area past the spa. Not a huge problem but a walk to our accommodation. 2. Breakfast was extremely busy and it looked like their was a lack of staff as the queues were often large and people were complaining around us. The Food in the Market space area we had to wait for replacement of some items as it was very busy which was a little frustrating and my full english breakfast on the first day was cold by the time i got back to the table. Obviously my coffee too as it had been poured before going to get my breakfast from the buffet. 3. Bedroom -The bathroom door wouldn't close which was very frustrating. 4. Theatre - I ordered drinks through the QR code but they took 25 minutes to arrive. 5. On the day of departure we packed our bags and went to breakfast booked at 9.15am. Due to the time it took to be seated and have our breakfast we arrived back at our room 10 mins late to find that our door had been opened and left of the latch meaning our bags and belogings were fully exposed to the public. There was no staff member around which made it worse. This is not good practice and I felt quite angry. The 10 minute delay was not due to a fault on our behalf and it made us feel ver unwelcome and this would make me reconsider any stay with you in the future.
1) Room: nice bed and decore, clean and serviced daily, good tea and coffee facilities, enough storage, fridge, hair dyer & Iron. 2) Bathroom: good towels and refreshed daily. Nice -soap, gel, shampoo and lotion. clean, nice shower. 3) Grounds were beautiful. 4) House was amazing. Although busy, it has numerous spaces to relax. 5) Great entertainment 6) Easy check in and check out

United KingdomI wasn’t told by reception when booking in that come 10am your key card won’t let you back into your room, my breakfast time was booked for 10.15am and I left my luggage in the room and couldn’t get back in. Just a little comment but would be nice to see net curtain’s in the rooms that weren’t torn and that they matched, one side was shorter than the other and completely different style on the same window. Attention to detail and very cheap to get new ones.
The staff were very friendly especially the waitress, I didn’t use any facilities so I can’t comment on anything else

United KingdomCannot book sporting activities in advance so had to turn up early to do so. Even then we only managed to get one activity booked for the day. It seems like there isn't enough manning of staff for the activities so they can't run them regularly. The cycle path was a bit narrow and overgrown in places. The sauna and steam room and jacuzzi is very small. Need to expand this area and make more saunas and steam rooms. Can't get into a jacuzzi as everyone in there! Also before I arrived, no one would pick up the phone. Not clear how to book activities etc. Also wasnt possible to book one Saturday night on the website so had to go through booking.com. younger adults are working during the week so we should be able to book a weekend or one Saturday night. I can't understand why we can only book certain days and times during the week only. First time I've experienced this. We should be able to call and communicate with the hotel beforehand if we have any questions. Noone ever picks up the phone. Definitely need more staff on the activities and run them more regularly and we should be able to book them in advance.
Great breakfast. More vegetarian variety of food would be nice for dinner time. Lovely location. Clean rooms, and friendly staff. Good facilities and entertainment.

United KingdomQueueing for meals. Breakfast and dinner times were a shambles probably due to lack of staff in The Market Kitchen. Although the staff were working extremely hard they were under a lot of pressure to clear tables in time for the next sitting. We have been to several other Warner hotels and have never experienced this problem before.
The room was comfortable, the food was excellent and the entertainment was first class.

United KingdomDisabled access to the building was needed
Excellent value for money but not very good facilities from the car park to the hotel/room . No disabled drop off . Food excellent but a set menu . I asked for steak pie with chips instead of mustard mash but it couldn’t be done . Room very clean and close to amenities. There is lifts to the rooms but they need to sort out a drop off point nearer to the building .

United KingdomWe ate dinner in all three of the restaurants but we did not enjoy the Market Kitchen experience. We felt it was noisy and we were really crammed in our seats, we were left sitting awkwardly close to the couple next to us. The staff seemed less attentive, we had to ask how the buffet/menu and when I asked for the pigs in blanket to go with my turkey the guy looked like I'd asked to eat his first born. The big no no for us was one of the waiters crewing gum continually!!!!
The location is beautiful, the hotel building is gorgeous and the standard room we had was perfect. The food and the entertainment were terrific.
